  • O'Donnell out

O'Donnell out, SBW and Mini out.

I think we will really struggle with Fergo in too for the Raiders:

    ROOSTERS V RAIDERS

All eyes are on Canberra's Blake Ferguson in his first NRL match since being stood down prior to Origin II. Ferguson has spent the past fortnight in the NSW Cup. Raiders coach Dave Furner has also rushed winger Jack Wighton into the side after their heavy loss to Melbourne. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck will start at fullback for the Roosters with skipper Anthony Minichiello out (knee). Luke O'Donnell (flu) is a late scratching in their pack with Sam Moa to start and Tinirau Arona moving up to the bench.

At least backwards will be happy with the news. LOD out is a huge loss. He was looking great up front. If gives a chance for Napa and Liu to step it up.

      Tina Arena to the rescue.

I've always thought if we have to play Arona it makes for a very weakened bench, doesn't offer anything.

If the flu stops LOD he's not the tough man we know he is, it wont be the flu that stops him, you can bet on that.

Interesting that they'd go for Arona.

                  Doubt it is the flu.

Never been a big fan of Arona, but hey, he gets an opportunity here and i'm sure he'd be keen to impress

I'm not a massive fan of Arona, but his position at the club is obvious.
He is being used as depth cover for injuries/suspensions, and being relatively experienced, should handle the job better than some 19 year old making their debut.
He doesn't do anything great, but he doesn't do anything bad, either. Excellent depth imo, and a valuable player for the right (low) price.

RTS, we can win without him, we have good enough props to cover for him and I prefer Liu anyway.
