I'm not sure how/why everyone has written Oldfield off already....

How much first grade has he played this season? 1 Game? 2 maybe? Not really a lot to judge him on, is it?

Probably the same people who wrote Mortimer off last year.

If we were to purchase another winger I would seriously look at the Parramatta winger Semi Radrada Who in my eyes has shown considerable promise in the two matches I have watched him play against Canterbury and Manly

IMO, I would sign one winger who has a bit of first grade under his belt, for depth purposes.

I know we have wells and all the youngsters etc but injuries always happen and we have been lucky with injuries this year. What happens if let's say mini stays on, and mini goes down injured and say Daniel tupou goes down injured too. In this situation we got two wing spots open with roger going to fullback if he isn't already at fullback.

Who will be our wingers??? Michael oldfield and wells? What if wells doesn't adapt go first grade and doesn't kick on like we all think he should and our other youngsters arnt ready yet? whos left, Adam Henry? Lol.

Everywhere else we are fine other then depth in the backs, wing especially IMO. Someone solid and experience for a year while our younger players develop would be great..

For me I would like to see us pick up a winger with some first grade experience who wouldn't cost too much! Something along the lines of what $ouff$ did with acquiring Bryson Goodwin as he has been playing quite a bit above his pay packet.

Some players as possibilities could be Duffie, Waqa or Fonua from the storm, Reece Robinson seems to be on the outer with the raiders after they told him they were going to sign his brother and then at the last minute changed their minds. This pissed Reece off and he hasn't played anywhere near as good as what he was since, so he may look to get out. Reece was playing outstanding before hand, he is a great winger/fullback and would be a very handy signing!

There seems to be some very talented young wingers at the tigpies as well who would be worth a look at.

I am not real convinced with Oldfield. Granted he has only played 1 1st grade game this year and scored a good try, he hasn't exactly been setting the world on fire for Newtown, and now he is injured for an extended period of time just when we need him. There was a time a while ago (think it was SOO time) when Robbo could have brought Oldfield into the side but instead elected to switch Maubs to the backs, so this to me indicates that Robbo is not sold on Oldfield either. He looks to thin these days as well which is not ideal for taking the harder hits in 1st grade.

Out of the young outside backs we have at the club, would any be ready to step up to first grade next year and do a good job?
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

            Here's looking at you, kid.

Nene Macdonald is who I would go for. Granted he is still a bit raw, but nothing an offseason under Robbo cant fix.

Lets not forget Moga and RTS came straight through to FG from 20s, nothing says he cant either. he's got the size and the speed, just needs to develop his technical side.

What happened to him? Was he actually any good? I know he scored a try on his first ever touch of rugby league.

Coming from you this means absolutely nothing

You have NFI Your comment to Kurt sherlock about our chances when we last played Canterbury clearly showed that

You are like the court jester of this site and a very poor one to boot
