The only problem is the contract money (he will be our highest paid player again this year),a payout needs to be agreed upon and another club found.
Currently Mason is being shopped around to the ESL. Lets see how it plays out, because Mason has said he doesn't want to leave Sydney..
On another note Smith wants to play Myles in the second row and he is a fan of Daniel Conn and Nick Kouparitsas
The squad for 2010 is NOT finalised, still negotiating with some players - I asked but wasnt told the names ... Interesting times ahead
There are also question marks over Sa, other clubs have expressed interest...
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Anasta does a Craig Wing and heads overseas to Union in 2010. Similar circumstances to Wing too i.e Rugby schoolboy sensations, unattached without any commitments.

What? You begrudge a bloke trying to make a living?

in the end, with Mason, the club has always said, if he wants to go to union or ESL, they would not stand in their way, the club is keeping the satus quo.

the story about Smith not caring about Mason was a beat up.. Try reading the story again & notice that Smith said nothing at all.. It was all supposition from the writer...
There will be no need palming Sa off. There is enough reason with his off-field dramas..
As for all the other 'whispers'.. WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT!!! Stop pulling your own pud's & prove what you say!!!

Let me ask you this; have the Roosters not been good to Freddy over the years?
Oh, and do me a favour, put me on your ignore list.
I wish the players could excercise a bit more loyalty but a lot of the time it is out of their hands due to the salary cap. That is how it is.
I don't have a go at people as such, I have no grudges or agendas against anyone in here, I do however ask the question if I don't agree with what they say. That does not make it a personal attack so as far as me "picking on the wrong person", don't flatter yourself. I was under the impression that a forum was a place to express an opinion and debate a view point. I guess that if everyone placed a person on ignore because they questioned their opinion, it would be a pretty quiet place.

I agree.
The backend of 2007, was the attitude we wanted to see.
Even though we finished 4th last year, there has been severe attitude problems, and issues with fading away in the second half. Sloppy mistakes and laziness. Mason has a terrible attitude and it affects the kids.
If only we could swap back our dirty dogs trio of Mason, Conn and Kouparitsas for Tupou, Fitzgibbon and Harrison. Three players who have their all on the field for us, regardless of the criticism we sometimes gave them. I would take them any day over arseclown Mason, nobody Conn, and nuffbag Kouparitsas.
Every year that Mason has been contracted, we have lost an important backrower as his contract increases with the backloading, and we have replaced them with cheaper and worse Bulldog rejects.
We signed Willie at the end of 2007, so we released Harrison to accommodate him under the cap. After 2008, Mason's contract ate into our cap more, we had to release Tupou, and we signed the cheaper but VERY average Kouparitsas. Now this year, Mason's contract eats into our cap more again, out goes Fitzgibbon and in comes Conn.Last edited by The Mack; 09-28-2009, 11:15 AM.
