Even though we finished 4th last year, there has been severe attitude problems, and issues with fading away in the second half. Sloppy mistakes and laziness. Mason has a terrible attitude and it affects the kids.
If only we could swap back our dirty dogs trio of Mason, Conn and Kouparitsas for Tupou, Fitzgibbon and Harrison. Three players who have their all on the field for us, regardless of the criticism we sometimes gave them. I would take them any day over arseclown Mason, nobody Conn, and nuffbag Kouparitsas.
Every year that Mason has been contracted, we have lost an important backrower as his contract increases with the backloading, and we have replaced them with cheaper and worse Bulldog rejects.
We signed Willie at the end of 2007, so we released Harrison to accommodate him under the cap. After 2008, Mason's contract ate into our cap more, we had to release Tupou, and we signed the cheaper but VERY average Kouparitsas. Now this year, Mason's contract eats into our cap more again, out goes Fitzgibbon and in comes Conn.
As for Kouparitsis, he is Jets material and nothing much more. We'd have to get a fair few injuries before I'd consider him for the top 17.
Two cheap and nasty budget buys who will add nothing to the Club who were gifted to us by Farkwit Fittler and our recruitment guru?? POS, and all because Willie Wanka is chewing up far more salary cap than he deserves based on his performances so we can't afford to purchase anyone with actual footballing talent.

Agreed.
Nutley/O'Meley were necessary buys (needed experience in the pack with Cusack and Cayless gone)
Harrison was a necessary buy (needed a replacement for Ricketson)
Anasta was a necessary buy (Soward was not seen as a long-term five-eighth option, and Firman was a failure)
Myles was a necessary buy (like for like replacement for Adrian Morley, just needs consistency)
MASON was NOT needed. I repeat, we did NOT need him. And because of him, we have sacrificed a balanced, experienced and effective backrow of Tupou the linebreaker, Fitzgibbon the workhorse and Harrison the skillful tackler, for big dumbass and two of his Doggies rejects.

Well said Mack....it was another one of these "my cock is bigger than your cock buys" that has done nothing but create fractures amongst the club.....just like he did at the Dogs at the end of his time there. (and it took them 12 - 18 months to recover from his crap) Brian can probably fix it, persoally I'd just rather see the guy paid out and be done with it - we do not need Mason.

So this is where you people hang out as opposed to the wall.
My first post here is to say that Novice Chook was 100% right about mason from the start. I was wrong about him so apologies.
I am expecting that he wont be here next year though, so keep fingers crossed for the many fans that cant stand this clown at our club.

If I have to explain that part to you then that only confirms to me that the concept of loyalty is foreign to you.
We may actually agree on this point.
Yawn
It is, I just don't like your manner.
But that won't stop me from asking you once more to just ignore me because after this reply, that is what I'll be doing to you.

No need to apologise re Willie Wanka, it is only my personal opinion after all and everyone's differs. Some change over time, espec where the Wanka is concerned - he can certainly polarise opinions that's for sure.
I suspect that we may have to put up with him for another year, as he won't be easy to offload as I've heard he's not keen to leave Sydney and certainly no other NRL club would be as foolish as the Roosters were and offer him a comparable salary to what the Roosters will be forking out in 2010.
