Controversial agent Khoder Nasser helps plot Blake Ferguson's exit from Canberra
PINOCCHIO'S restaurant at Randwick is doing its usual solid Sunday night trade.
In walk four of the biggest names in Australian sport - Sonny Bill Williams, Blake Ferguson, Anthony Mundine and the controversial agent Khoder Nasser.
It’s a popular steakhouse and bar that eastern suburbs celebrities regularly frequent.
The four are there to talk footy and boxing, plus the next career move for the troubled but talented Ferguson, no doubt the conversation as sizzling as the chicken schnitzel.
There’s no alcohol at this table. Mundine, Nasser and SBW don’t drink. Ferguson is trying to give it up, although apparently not all that successfully.
He’s been spotted at a Canberra nightclub and the Gymea Hotel in the last seven days.
On top of the agenda is the fact the blockbusting Origin star wants out from the last two years of his Canberra Raiders contract, as exclusively reported in The Daily Telegraph last week.
One of the options being considered is Ferguson replacing Sonny Bill at the Roosters next year.
Khoder is not Ferguson’s manager but Mundine has taken his nephew to the restaurant to get some advice.
Afterall, Khoder is an expert at getting his boys out of clubs and sports where they don’t want to be, with absolutely no regard for the public backlash that generally comes with it.
The Raiders had always feared Ferguson would turn to Khoder and his ‘family’ of elite athletes.
When I rang coach Dave Furner last week to inform him Ferguson wanted out, he asked: “He hasn’t linked up with Khoder has he?”
Mundine also wanted Ferguson there to speak to Sonny Bill, not necessarily about his football.
In his early years, SBW had similar behavioural issues to Ferguson, most of them alcohol related.
Today he is not just a superstar athlete, but a model citizen.
He is credited for almost single-handedly changing the booze and nightclub culture that existed at the Sydney Roosters before his arrival.
Mundine firmly believes Ferguson has as much natural talent as the champion Roosters back-rower, former All Black and heavyweight boxer.
He’s genuinely convinced he needs to get him out of the national capital to achieve all his goals.
To have him in Sydney, under his own care.
Although it wasn’t discussed over dinner, the mail is getting stronger and stronger that Sonny Bill is moving next year too, heading back to rugby union.
He is believed to have already committed to Super Rugby champions the Chiefs with the eventual goal of winning a rugby union World Cup with the All Blacks.
He will also fight before the start of the rugby season and probably end up making more than $1.5 million-a-year.
That’s the secret with Khoder, Mundine and these private dinners.
On the surface it can look bad, but realistically, it might be what Ferguson needs to get his life and footy career back on the rails.
Someone needs to tell SBW that if we do end up winning the premiership this year, then that should not make up SBW's mind to leave thinking the job is finished. SBW loves a challenge and there is no greater challenge than to go back to back! rah rah can always wait 1 more year as the next world cup isn't until 2015.The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

On MMM last night after the game, a caller with some phsychology background reckons that listening to SBW speak at a post match interview (which I missed) the words he chose and the way he spoke, gave every indication that SBW is "done and dusted" with League.
He was using words and phrases carefully so as not to disrespect the Roosters, but this 'expert' was adamant that SBW will leave at the end of the season and go back to union.
Sterlo and the MMM crew seemed to take him at face value, so don't know who he was or if he is a regular on that show as I don't listen often to Monday night footy ..... but the SBW leaving rumour seems to be gathering momentum !

I dont get why everyone doesnt care if SBW leaves if we win the GF. Yes we will be premiers but so what?
Dont you want to go back to back? SBW is probably the best player to come to the Roosters since Freddy, and we should be doing everything we can to keep him here. I dont want to only win this year, I want to keep winning, I want us to be a force for years to come.
And I am sure we may go close to doing that without SBW but we hell sure can do it with him. Our membership numbers will grow exponentially, sponsors will be banging the door down to sponsor us and get their brand on the front of SBW's jersey.
Yes he has done great for the club so far, but he could do so much more. I know we have won without him this year, but I am sure we will miss him more than a lot of people reckon just coz we win the premiership.
Sometimes I just dont understand the logic behind peoples thinking.
Thank god our club isnt run by some on this forum and hopefully uncle Nick is doing all he can to ensure SBW stays.

We have shown without him we can manage, he has been great to help us get back on track but he can't hold our hand forever, if we win the gf we will have the experience and the foundation to go back to back even without him, that SBW money will also be handyLast edited by IRoosterManI; 08-20-2013, 01:05 PM.My Roosters Channel - youtube.com/IRoostermanI

Going solely off his Instagram activity and body language, I reckon he's keen to head home.
Mid-way through the season I didn't care what he did. I figured he'd made us no promises and it was a blessing to have him for as long as he chose to stick around.
Now that we're getting to the business end of the season I'm beginning to change my tune.
The speculation is disruptive.
Also, if he chooses to piss off then it will be deflate the team.
We don't need that shit like that happening now.
We'd better go all the way while we've got the prick.
