"I don't care if I never win lotto, I just want the Roosters to make it. And to beat the Bunnies.''
With the Roosters leading the NRL table Mrs Roberts, 71, looks like having at least one of her wishes come true.
Under the guidance of new coach Trent Robinson and captain Anthony Minichiello, the Roosters have sprung from the shadows to become favourites for the NRL premiership.
Helen has told the Wentworth Courier her most memorable Roosters moments.
2002 Grand Final: Roosters defeat Warriors 30-8
“That was a great game – Freddie was captain and Craig Fitzgibbon won the Clive Churchill Medal.”
2010 Quarter-Finals: Roosters defeat Wests Tigers 19-15
“That game was so close and it was eventually what got us through to the Grand Final.”
Bulldogs defeat Roosters 16-14 in Brad Fittler's last game
“Obviously Freddie’s last game has to be a highlight.”
Easts defeat St George 38-0 in the 1975 (pre-NRL) Grand Final
“We were at that game, hard to remember it all now but when I see the highlights and Arthur Beetson in that game, it all comes back to me.”
Roosters defeat South Sydney in Round 1, 2002
“That was Souths first game back in the NRL and, as our biggest rivals, it was always going to be good to come away with a big win.”
Big hopes for Roosters' season
Helen has been a life long Roosters supporter and is very glad they are now on the top of the NRL table. Mrs Roberts was at the 2010 grand final but has endured two tough seasons since, with her team finishing 11th in 2011 and 13th last year.
`But I'm a Roosters fan for life, my dad was a fan, the family always were fans -except for one sister. But we disowned her, obviously,'' Mrs Brown said with a laugh.
``We go to every home game, and to beat the Bunnies would be top of my ambitions. So I'm counting down to when we meet them in September.''
When the Roosters officially start the finals campaign Mrs Brown religiously decorates her house. Red, white and blue banners go up, ``Go Roosters signs'' are erected, scarves are hung proudly inside and photos of her and her family with Roosters players are brought in to the kitchen.
``We see some of the players we go back to the club after the games and they're all very nice and ready to talk to you, have a photo taken,'' she said.
``But my favourite player would be Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. Minichiello is a good choice as captain, and I like Jake Friend too.''
