I would like to see Moa coming off the bench this week, with LOD out we need a hard man off the bench!
    Unfortunately Liu/Arona/Napa wont cut it..

I think the key to winning this game is holding onto the football. Possession will hopefully starve their big men of the ball and they can't be as damaging.

If we play with minimum errors i think we have the players to keep souths out.

Totally agree and especially with souths excellent long kicking game

Robbo is a bit of a protected species on here so don't know how well this will go down and I'm a huge fan of his but I really think he's stuffed us up quite a bit this season by releasing a lot of depth players.

When you look at our bench you've got to wonder why we released blokes like Masoe, Tasi, Symonds & Takarangi.

Maybe I'm speaking out of place and these were needed to ease salary cap pressure but I think we've really struggled when we've had more than 3 of our starting pack out due to injury or suspension.

Most of these release were required due to the salary cap

and if we wanted to keep the likes of Napa and Evans, we had to release some of our squad. All looks good for next yr even if we don't win it this yr.

I don't know about that, Napa & Evans were signed up to contracts well beyond this season before we released any players.

Our squad does look a lot stronger next year with Casty coming in for Kennedy, potentially Reuben adding some depth to the 3/4's and Evans & Napa one year older and on the cusp of First Grade. In Robbo's defence I'm not sure anyone was expecting a title shot this year so maybe he always had one eye on the future.

I still think we could do with another outside back and second rower though, for depth.

6, any team that loses 3 starting players is going to struggle. There just is no room for teams to have quality players on there roster because of the cap.

That's simply not true though, sure losing 3 first choice forwards is going to result in a drop of quality but our depth this year is pretty poor and not just in comparison to every other team but in years gone by at our own club.

All clubs need to be prepared for 3 or 4 losses in the forwards because it's a reality most face at some point throughout the season.

Tasi was a strange one as it was mid season If I remember correctly I was only thinking last night we could sure use him in a game like Fridays Not going to Bag Robbo over it though I think the other three were defo salary cap related

And when he goes shit for Brisbane for the next 3 years some of you on here will be saying, "he is still recovering from injury".....

Souths , particularly GI are great exponents of exposing opposition defenses on the edges. Roger can get caught out of position in defence occasionally and did so in round one. Skids hardly fills me with immense confidence as his replacement but he has plenty of big match experience and let's hope he gets the job done as we will win this with our defence.

Roger has also had a taxing month playing at fullback so provided the injury is only short term then a freshen up will do hm good.
What the hell is a taxing month?
The bloke has played a bit of fullback over the last few weeks, he is 20 years old and suddenly he needs a rest!!!

I would have liked to of kept tommy symonds. I was a huge fan of taka but his defence is shit. losing bj wasn't a biggy as last I saw he has put on 15kgs and slowed right down. we cant play evans as the is no more dispensation for injuries this year. when we win against the vermin and after round 1 of the finals we will come back after the break fully fit and a full strength team.
mk wont and wont be ready to come back to the team.

arona will step up im sure and he will do a lot of dummy half runs and I think we need jake and kis short kicking game back.

think about all the video sessions souffs have done on us , and they will more than likely be our last 3 or so games. we played like shit and looked like shit , so I m tipping they will addressing the game as theirs already. they would have probably attacked skids and rts side for sure(like I said 3rd or 4th tackle with number 1 inbred brother out wide)
they will be pressuring the kicker so we use jakes game to relieve that pressure.
our forward v theirs. if the tiggas pack can run thru the gaps around the play the ball area so can we.
napa is fearless and is itching to leave a huge mark on the game. I would start him and bring on the moa constricter after about 20 mins
