thanks Gman, there is no point risking RTS/Maubs for Friday night if they are not right, much bigger games to come
interesting that they are throwing Kennedy straight back into first grade after 12 weeks out.
great to hear that Evans is returning this weekend, who knows given our current luck with injuries he may be needed in a couple of weeks time.
the thought of Pearce/Langi/SKD defending together on the right edge tomorrow night is a very scary thought

Doubt it though, his fitness would not be up to scratch, he struggles at the best of times to play long minutes. Maybe he and Kennedy will play half a game each, 20 minutes a half each. The size they would provide would be very welcome against a massive Souths pack.

Not a bad looking team and would give us some hope of winning.
Evans couldn't play first grade without an NRL salary cap exemption, I think you will find Langi will either start at right centre or come onto the bench.

didn't see Langi in any of the photos of todays captains run, but there were a few of SKD/Oldfield talking to JT
I wonder if we might see a lineup like this

Is Boyd Cordner any hope of returning before the GF?
My mail is, he won't.
He is the player we miss the most. Gives the side a much better balance. The last time the roosters were minor premiers and didnt play in a grand final was 1981. A loss tomorrow night, is not the end of the world

I like the sbw as centre with skids out side him.
sbw will draw 3 defenders everytime he runs, and with a long free arm off loads to skids down the side line , flash backs of 2010. olfield im not sold on as a first grader. I had hi hopes but really he has offered nothing so far. not fast, not tall, not a great defender and has sfa first grade games to boot1911 1912 1913 1923 1935 1936 1937 1940 1945 1974 1975 2002 2013 2018 2019 2020

This quote by our Coach says it all really..
"You want to be the best team in the competition, but sadly the way our game has gone we've moved away from the traditional models of sporting competitions where first past the post wins," Robinson said.
"It is decided on one day in October and that's our focus. We want to win games, and if that means we've won more games than others then good.

Yea I noticed Oldfield in a lot of pics trianing with SKD. Looks like he will line up outside SKD tomorrow night. Geez that side of Pearce, SKD and Oldfield does not give me much hope at all. It will be bombs away consistently over there and expect GI to keep wrapping around that side. He will be confident he could carry 2 out of those 3 over the line and score.....
Its going to come down to how we nullify their forwards to ensure their backs dont get the space and time and to ensure they dont get into an attacking zone.
I know a loss tomorrow isnt a big deal and everyone is focusing on october, but I cant help but think what will 3 consective losses do to our confidence.... Especially considering we will be playing Manly who will be coming into it on a good run

if you listen to Robbo's press conference on the Roosters website from this morning he confirms there will be multiple changes to the team named on Tuesday, obviously he will leave it to the last minute to confirm the lineup.
he also took another subtle swipe at the players and how preperations for recent matches hasn't been acceptable, a few too many players taking the easy option recently.

Maybe those changes won't be all injury related.
I think it would be a great wake up call for the players if they have happened to be dropped cause of their attitude. It would show that no matter how good they have played this season, a mediocre attitude won't cut it. Especially doing it in such a big game would be great motivation to give 110% during the semis. No doubt they would have been trained fairly hard this wk, even with the short turn around.
We could see a red hot Rooster's team Week 1 in semis, if not tomorrow
