Thanks Mr Walker - that link is useful. I'm in no hurry so am researching heavily. Already done one recon trip and am just making sure I have as much info as possible to make an informed and wise choice.

Stay the fark away from Surfers and you'll be fine.

Also make sure you've got a tolerance for "Bogans", "barbies" and "Bro's".

Thanks GC6 - sorry I probably should have started an off topic thread. Yeah is seems if you head a liitle South or North then prices are better. I like Robina but seems I may have to pay overs to get in there. I like the area around the back of Curumbin and Burleigh as well.

Yep for sure. I was trying to explain to the wife how it is Bogan Paradise. It was off season when we were there so its hard for her to imagine the bogan explosion that take place there through the warmer months. I like peace and quiet.

Especially in the last couple of games the opposition has got too many quick play the balls.

We are def nothing like Melb or Souths
              You may be right.

I think they have changed something to try and cut down the penalties.

Lets see what they bring on Friday night.

              Easts to win.

It's actually been great for Brisbane living. Majority of the bogans have moved down there which helps greatly with ones sanity.

The Gold Coast really is the Bogan capital of Australia. If you're looking for tradies who are wannabe surfers who believe in "straya" and have southern cross tattoos, then this is the place to go. It's pretty much Cronulla x10 without any beetroot faces running around.

Why else is Greg Bird so happy living there?

Mate, the Gold Coast is a mess atm. It has been hit hard with the GFC.Businesses still closing everywhere with more & more people without jobs. That translates to people without money & therefore the crime rates soar as a result.
I would recommend the southern Gold Coast. It tends to miss out on a lot of the riff raff that the Surfers/Broadbeach area attracts. That said, Cooly/Tweed Heads gets a bit like this at times.
Kirra & Currumbin areas are pretty good, but you pay a premium for renting or buying.

But don't move west of the GC Highway. You then qualify as a Bogun or a Palmy Princess.Seriously, not a nice place after dark.

This shit reminds me of the old days of the WWF when there was an obvious screwjob over a hero in the offing. There was always the bad ref who thwarted the good guy with a slow count or a deliberate disqualification.

Does this make Ashley Klein into Dangerous Danny Davis?

                          BP, good stat to know.
Have K&C ever both reffed the roosters together? If so, what was the result an penalty count?

fark me I am born here and I feel like moving now. sheesh.

seen most of the world but love it here and no tatts with the stars nor any flannies to be seen.

weigh up why you want to move here first. if its work related go futher north or if its retirement try tweed(that's oldies capitol) and where I was born . nice slow area but being infiltrated by young couple renters and new borns. n every town or suburb has shit you just have too have a good look.
