Rugby Union is easier than League...SBW hinted at it recently in a newspaper article...said his body was taking too much punishment in the NRL.
You just make a few runs, jump in a few lineouts, not very difficult, get paid a motza, and have an easy life.
They 'all' now want to go to Union, Folau included.
He was never going to come back to League, and us.

I'm pretty sure Wighton and Mansour are off contract next year, I'd prefer we chased one of them.

If he keeps his head while all around are losing theirs, I'd have the Isle of Wight in a heartbeat.

Just on the footy show guss asked sbw if we win this year it will be a factor if he stays or not he wants to be successfull before he leaves

Sounds like if we win the grand final he will walk away

I for one would thank him for the time he gave his talent to us and wish him all the best in his future indevers

I missed the show. Is there anyone out there that speaks English who heard what Gus asked Sonny Bill? And what the reply was?

Phil Gould asked Sonny Bill whether the success and results of the Roosters this year (more specifically how we perform in the finals) will factor into his decision to stay in or leave the NRL. Sonny replied that of course that will factor into his decision and that is why he is waiting towards the end of the season before making that decision.

He didn't give a definitive answer at all really, we will have to wait and see.

SBW's dad is a roosters fan, that'll help.

No-one has gone back to back in a full comp since 92-93. Hopefully that would motivate SBW to stay even if we win.

One would be amazing. But to win 2 from 2 would give him God status in Rugby League history.

I missed it unfortunately but will hopefully catch it another time, this news now makes sense to me. When we got the 4 from the dogs back then and we didn't get sonny, I think he got pissed off which is why he left the league. I think playing for us is maybe a dream of his and his dad. Lets hope he gives us another season if only to please his dad once again.

I would say that the only reason Sonny agreed to do that interview was to urge the NRL to do something to keep him.

Sonny Bill Williams was originally going to sign with the Roosters but was persuaded by high profile players to remain loyal to the club who themselves did not remain loyal to the club. There were other factors of poor management by a certain somebody as well that should be factored in to his walk out. I believe Sonny was close to signing twice with our club but one time a lot closer than the other.

Anyone who thinks signing ferguson is a good idea should watch the interview with him & mundine. I rest my case.
