Great article by Andrew Webster on Unlce Nick.

''I love Nick Politis,'' says Packer. ''He's a hero to me. Nick hasn't spoken to me since Crown sponsored Souths - but I still love him.''

I'm too tired to read all of this now but 2 things made me laugh. One was Fletch's quote "One is an Oscar winner, the other looks like one." And Pamela Andersen and Eva Mendes in the photo. Have they been renewing their Souths memberships and regularly attending games?

Forget them pair, that bench of ours tonight, wont be enough to hold the vermin, unfortunately, I predict a comfortable win to them, with half our team missing, but hopefully next week, we will be able to field a stronger team. If we hold the vermin to a respectable score, I will be more then happy, and to dare to think of a win, is almost orgasmic.lol, but we'll stick to reality, hope we lift our defensive efforts of the last month, stop the pot plant penalties, and limit the dumb passes, that will be a good start.

Great article. Thanks for posting it, R6.

Can someone tell me who does James Packer support? Souffs or Easts.
How many clubs did his father support? Easts, Manly, Souffs?

I'm sure it was 2006 that he tapped Ricky on the shoulder.

Couldn't have been 2005 after three straight GF's surely.

                    '300am' sounds about right.

I'd love one of these journos to mention how they changed the local junior boundaries. Cheating vermin scum.

And remind all that one of their GF wins was a against Balmain who refused to play - deal was between the two clubs not to play yet souffs scoundrels turned up kicked off no opponents scored a try and game over. cheating scum no wonder souffs juniors never wanted to be involved with the leagues club.

Can't find anything decent about this on the web but the story goes that the NSWRL scheduled a game between the Wallabies (Union) and Kanagroos (league) to be held on the same day as the Grand Final. However the Grand Final would be played before the match between the Wallabies and Kangaroos, Balmain & Souths agreed that this was an undermining of how important the Grand Final was and agreed that neither team would show up to play. However as history shows Souths decided to rock up, kicked off to an empty field, scored a try and were awarded the premiership.
