They just said how poor it was that the use of the word "scum" was on that banner on the Sunday Footy Show

Freddy was disappointed but knew it was a Souths vs Chookies clash so he knew it was pretty understandable

You can tell Sterlo is a former school teacher. He gave them a lecture today. Freddy also said he was disappointed it stayed up for the whole game and that no-one thought to tell them to take it down. He also said whoever made the sign obviously has no filter..

I can understand what they're saying and can agree to an extent but it just means we'll need to have a reply in the pen next time!

None of us cared Friday night in the Chookpen so we'll need to have a reply with a banner just as big saying "LOL@$oufz forever in our shadow"

all we need to do is to ignore it.

                  Not this!

There's no doubt the banner was shameful. The perpetrators were a minority, look completely silly, and brought a small dose of disgrace to their club. There's no reason to drag our club down to sewer level. Cop it on the chin, rise above, show great sportsmanship, barrack the chooks like mad and applaud our opponents win or lose. There'd be no comp & no glory without great opponents. That's how you show class and winning attitude. Besides, put up a banner remotely similar & the great man Politis (if not other Chookies fans) would get the banner brought down quick-smart. Go the chookies!

Rabbitohs fans having a massive cry saying Freddy is biased... Barely said a word out of it, Sterlo was the one that said it was disappointing.

Don't know if it's true at all but a few of them having been crying since the loss saying Roosters fans were 'spitting' on them... ffs, they are just a bunch of whingers.

Good post. Why waste precious space in our pen, not to mention effort and cash, in making references to them? I must admit when we went down to the fence to see the shield presentation, there were quite a few Souths fans remaining, applauding and being respectful.

I agree with what you said except the bit I have quoted. Its actually quite representative of a large number of their supporters

The truth is it was a small minority of the burrow who made and knew of the sign before the game and it was not a club sanctioned sign (I understand normally signage in the burrow is supposed to be 'approved'). Most of their supporters think it was in bad taste and reflected badly on their club. As someone else said... there are idiot supporters in every clubs fan base,
