  • Our competitors are AVERAGE ...

Both Souths and the Storm were ordinary tonight. Souths were very lucky with the freak early try and a couple of calls going their way.

And the Storm were full of mistakes and easily manhandled up the middle.

We also have Manly's measure too.

    It's ours for the taking!!

It looks that way mate. I reckon we would have beaten both those teams tonight.

Souffs played no better than they did last week. On tonights form you would THINK we have both these teams covered.

          Freaky first try ?
Surely Squirrel got a touch on the ball and knocked it from the Storm player ?

Melbourne also had souths measure before tonight, manly should be a tough game.

Let's just focus on Manly first........

It will be a tough game. And they will be extra fired up given we've had their measure

Souths took a page from us on how to defend set plays over the week. Their D was very solid and it made Melbourne look very impotent, something we couldn't do earlier in the year.

Too bad Jennings isn't on the right cos he would carve Goodwin up on that side. Chambers showed that someone with size and lateral speed can demolish that side. Too bad Moga did his knee, could've been a real finals drawcard.

Didn't see the game but all the feedback I'm getting is that the refs insured Souths got the win....

Agreed. We need a win over Manly and a week off badly..especially now the vermin have won. Here's why:

If we win: We go through to the GF qualifier. Meanwhile the Storm plays the winner of the Dogs v Newy next week in Melbourne. So you'd have to think the Storm will go through and then play us. Meanwhile Souths are through to the GF qualifier and play the winner of Manly v Sharks/Cowboys. And that will most likely be Manly. So the GF qualifiers are Roosters v Storm in Sydney and Souths v Manly.

If we lose: Manly go to the GF qualifier. Meanwhile the Storm plays the winner of the Dogs v Newy next week in Melbourne. So you'd have to think the Storm will go through and then play Manly. Meanwhile Souths are through to the GF qualifier and play the winner of Roosters v Sharks/Cowboys. Now..as mouth watering as those two GF qualifier games sound...I know which one I'd prefer...GO EASTS

It's fair to say souths enjoyed the rub off the green. I think the melbourne side of old would have stuck 2 tries on them within the first 10 minutes with the ball that they had. The fact that they didn't meant it was going to be a long night for them. I could easily see melbourne getting knocked out next week if they don't improve on that performance. The table doesn't lie this year IMO. It should be a Roosters v souths GF. Bring it on!

The only sliver of consolation from losing tomorrow night would be that we get to put the rabbits fans out of their misery for 2013!!

My perverse side would rather enjoy that!!

That's precisely what I thought after watching the game.
                          We are streaks ahead.....

                            Exactly...
Manly will be tough and so will the Cowboys/Sharks/whoever we play next if we lose!

IMO this is one of the tightest, most difficult to win finals series'.

Top 4 are all just as good on their day and the others are all in good form. For whatever reason we never get the blow of the whistle so have to work bloody hard if we want to win.

I'm personally scared of Manly because we've already beaten them twice. Hopefully we scrape through, I really don't want to face elimination/away finals next week.

We need to be o combat the penalty count head start we give them.
