Well the club does not know why we are getting hammered in the penalties as Trent Robinson has even explained in some post match press conferences and has attempted to get an answer from Daniel Anderson who won't respond to his questions. So actually the coach doesn't think there is a logical reason for what is going on either.

Does the club or he go around screaming conspiracy at every possible opportunity? Which is actually what I originally commented on. Not the actuall disparidody itself, which I concur has always been a concern.

You would be laughed at only if you didn't have a solid case! If Johnathon Thurston went to the NRL and said ' i've done the penalty stats for the past 6 years, North Qld are/have been the most penalised team - easily. They have received far fewest penalties - easily, And quiet a few of those are penalties that have come after the match is over only to make counts look more respectable. Also they very rarely receive multiple penalties. This Is a good case. It goes beyond any chance of just being a coincidence and he would be listened to! Media organisations would go into over drive, headlines like ' Cowboys rorted', 'Scandal' , 'major investigation' would dominate front and back pages.

No because the coach doesn't want a defamation case. However if you think there are people in the club who don't believe there is something strange going on then you are way off the mark.. Freddy said the same thing when he was coach.. He could not understand why we were getting hammered by the refs and said he got brushed by Bill Harrigan and Robert Finch when asked for an explanation.. It was only when he found a tip sheet telling the refs only to look at the Roosters players indiscretions did it begin to make sense to him.

It goes beyond simple penalties, also inconsistencies in the 10 metres that teams are kept back. Calling or not calling forward passes or knock ons. Where and when are penalties are given.

Spot on 'doo. JWH got suspended for his "bumper" on mcqueen and yet I see these types of incidents in other matches go unnoticed, unpenalised and unreported. The scope for interpretation variation in rugby league is broad and the refs can even flout the rule book without consequence as pointed out by Roy Masters recently in relation to shayne hayne and souffs.

so we get hammered all the time with penalties. But we get totally done over when we travel.
Amazing how our discipline gets worse when we are away
