2010 vs 2013 - which is the better team?

Maybe comparing this years with the 2004 team is a bit more accurate. Any team with Mini in his prime, Freddy, Ricko, Fitzy, Wingy, Hodges, Cross and A Moz in it would be hard to topple.

Then again 2004 was largely let down by Finch haha

Linnet vs Jennings - Jennings wins.

Perrett vs Tuiasa-Sheck - a short winger who struggled defensively vs the next young superstar. RTS wins.
Carney vs Maloney - tie. whereas Carney is utterly brilliant on his day, Maloney is more of a worker; however Maloney will keep battlting til then end while Carney goes missing in big games.

The 2013 team is much stronger, with the exception of Maloney in for Carney. However Maloney is much more consistent than Carney and is a better fit for our side. Also Myles is arguably stronger than Cordner, and before people rip into me I do rate Cordner highly by Myles was at his peak whereas Cordner is still getting better as a player.

Plus Pearce, JWH and Friend are all playing much better football than what they were in 2010!

Myles is a lazy club level player who kills it at Origin.

While Carney brought us to the GF by himself I think Maloney is a better team player. As a unit Maloney/Pearce > Carney/Pearce IMO.

Since he's not on the list I sorta miss Conn.

And coach... Robbo > Smith by far!

We had a lot of cr@p players and were lucky to make the GF in 2010. It was a Todd Carney speciality...

BUT His ability to go missing during the GF possibly cost us the rings (not saying it was THE reason but a reason certainly...)

The two things I remember from 2010 was Anasta's field goal and Carney's X-Factor. Otherwise 2013 is better in almost every way.

What about the coach??? We've missed a huge factor. Robbo imo is way more smarter and has the team working way harder and has built this unbreakable trust within the team. We've made a new nrl record this season. Our defense is like a wall. Were minor premiers this season. In 2010 we were a good team no doubt about it. Robbo was in the frame then but really it was the smith era. The thing that will separate the 2 will be how this team now backs up next season. In 2011, 2012 we failed to make the eight and went off the rails. Smith did us some good by blooding new talent and cleaning out the rubbish players. BUT imo this team will demolish the 2010 team. Were just a better structured team, better defensive unit. And of course we have SBW.
