I reckon liu is better than napa at this stage of his career. I like it when he comes on. Runs hard and has nice footwork at the line

He will cost us this game, whoever he's against, Gaggit or KFC, either will tear him a new one. SBW can't keep saving him from the inside
He defended impeccably against one of the strike centres of the NRL last week.

Better go forward but Napa's defense is outstanding too and has a higher work rate which is Lui disadvantage here.Kennedy can do them both but suffers in mistakes and penalties ........
My judgement says we have them in the halves , we have them mostly in the forwards and we do them like a dinner from the bench.Backs as in wing to fullback not much in it .
Our strength is in our forwards and bench and we must use it very smartly .They have Jeremy Smith and Scott who are Bennets mercenarys and they will come at us all day including Costigan so we need to take em head on and wear em down -Moa -heargraves motor them then Kennedy and O'Donell rip into them non stop then Guerra and SBW can work the fringes and middle .Newsc will suffer if their three mercenarys come off .
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

He got beaten a few times in the second half, Hiku on a kick return and Matai a couple of times late. His crabby runs and loose carries scare the crap out of me. 1 mistake could cost us, and he has a mistake in him every time he's near the ball. Bennett will target him all day.
He doesn't know how to run into a hole, or what line to run, just go an look at all the 'awkward' looks SBW has been giving him all year when he creates an opportunity and SKD isn't in the right place to capitalise.

Maubs is much safer in defence, doesn't drop the ball, runs straight and is a great hole/line runner.

yeh ok then where does skids go. I agree that maubs can and does fill in well for skids, but maubs is a way better 2nd row than a centre. your right he and sheck will be targeted for the bombs and possibly the early kicks but sbw and mini will pick up the shit and also possibly guerrs

Is anyone else concerned about FPN in defence in such an important game?

Probable weak link in the chain...hope I'm wrong again.

Not once have I been concerned about FPN this year (except for when there was talk he wouldn't re-sign).
                  FPN has been solid.

What a funny place this is.

FPN & SKD will both be playing this week and next, unless injured.

I guess people are entitled to their views on certain players.

FPN has been a standout since he resigned much to the chargrin of his cynical critics.

                                Why?

He has leaders in the pack that have lifted the bar, the infectious enthusiasm from JWH, LOD, SBW etc have created a momentum that FPN seems to have fed off.

His leg speed with ball in hand has picked up, his wrestle in defense has picked up, his urgency & attention to the patterns have picked up...all in all he is an improved contributor to the team effort
