Surely this is an inside joke at the club?

Just get one of the staff to give out a little scoop about SBW in doubt after the final training session.

Maybe it's a little teaser to get back at the media.
You know, leak out that SBW is in doubt, then when the SMH or DT journos chase up to get info on this news ....tell em to get stuffed !

The club are clearly playing silly buggers and they did the same thing before the souths game. As if he'd miss a game like this because of a fever. He'd juts take a couple of panadol and get out there if he really was sick but highly likely there's nothing wrong with him at all.

Just a ploy to mess with the opposition's heads.

We must risk him...as said above this could well be our last game if we don't get things right.
Manly had a dismal start to last nite's game...high tackle, dropped ball etc, winger and centre nowhere to be seen where they were supposed to be defending, Souths waltz over for a try in the corner....and Manly found themselves down 0-14 before they awoke from their slumber.
I suggest we don't give the Knights 14 points start before deciding to play properly.

SBW is needed to stop the Knights from surging down the field like runaway express trains in the first 20 minutes...like they did against the Storm.
The fairytale could well see them get a string of penalties in their favour.

Fast forwards running onto the ball at pace.
Fast backs slicing thru the opposition with ease.

If SBW and LOD are out then other players will have to step in, step up, and play like they would have.
          Liu, Napa, Kennedy, Maubs etc.

the club just doesn't want the NRL to make any money off SBW so we ain't playing him. Or that's what Matty Johns will report

Probably is but it would have to be a very serious illness to keep him out of a big game.

                He will play.

Is the SMH the only media outlet that has picked this up? Strange.

He has a runny nose and the NRL is concerned that he may pass on his cold to Newcastle players, so SBW is out of today's game. I don't think it's fair, to be honest.

Ryan Girdler has posted on twitter its 100% fake and he'll definitely play but O'Donnell is almost certainly out with Napa coming in and not Kennedy

I'd prefer that, let Napa add another name to the list.

We'll get more minutes out Napa but his defence is a tad suspect sometimes, he can def put a hit on dont get me wrong it's just his lateral movement.... but in saying that i trust Trent will make the right call.

I'd rather Kennedy over Napa at this stage of their respective careers. Particularly at prop.

I know MLK will drop the ball once and give away two penalties but he's a rock in defense.

Ugh, why LOD why? We'll be well and truly earning it with all the setbacks we've had.

No credibility in smashing a midget....
