  • Roosters support in the GF

My excitement for Sunday would be an understatement, curious as to what the plans are for the chookpen support be it some new banners or balloons, probably a bit adventurous to organise within a week but I would personally love to see a Mass card display much like what souths did in round 26 and in the afl on Saturday arvo, can't think of a better way for us fans to represent our team.

On another note, a minor victory this year in the sense that we've been allocated the larger end of anz this year, seems like well have the majority of the support come Sunday

It's pretty hard to organise in a Grand Final purely because there's no allocated bays and fans will be scattered all over the place.

I know there is an allocated Chookpen bay like there was in the semi-finals but there's no guarantees on who will get those tickets and it's not described as such on the Ticketek website.

It's a bit of a shame because some of those ideas would create landmark images for the game. The Grand Final should be all about celebrating everything good about the game and that includes, in fact it should be centered around the fans and the atmosphere they provide.

The best thing we can do visually is get as many Roosters flags and signs in the crowd as possible.

It's a real shame the nrl don't get behind this, probably the highlight of the afl broadcast was seeing half of the mcg covered in cards like that, certainly something I'd love to see in the future. As for Sunday, would love to see a few more of those massive flags but for the rest of the crowd, we should be buying up packs of red white and blue balloons (particularly blue to differentiate) to show our support and how it stands out from manly's

Look I like all the banners and hardcore fans and their chants etc but personally if I'd dumped all that dough on tickets and entertainment and travel and food and grog I'd be pretty pissed off to sit down to watch my team in a GF only to have my view blocked with flags etc being waved around thru the game.

At a club game you basically can move most weeks from such areas designed for such activity.

But in a GF it's understandable that there are certain things you can't do like at a club game. There are people who go every year regardless of their team being involved or not. It's an event to most, entertainment.

        You know it makes sense.

Agree with all of these points, NRL Grand Final has now turned into a money grabber and theres no real attention or focus to support the true fans of the game.

Supported the boys through the Chookpen most of the season but I've made my peace with probably not ending up in the same area for Sunday. Will have to watch the game with my suit on as the NRL intends it to be.

I cannot guarantee anything..... BUT there are some ideas floating around.

Though in the lead up to the grand final, there are plenty of things to get involved with

One of the big things is the Footy show on thursday night ! Lets get as many Rooster fans there as possible, Really show our support and show that we do not have "just 2 fans" like that monkey tallis thinks !

his case is helped by the fact that a roosters fan has never been selected for the kick

I remember if 2010 some very generous & lovely Roosters supporter bought hundreds of RW&B balloons for a couple of the Rooster's bays & it looked great.

There are great Roosters Capes/Flags on ebay if anyone is interested. I have just bought one to add to my flag collection....the more colour etc.... the merrier.

I have a fellow Rooster's fan at work who keeps singing:

                Here come the Roosters,
                the best we've ever seen,
                The Red, White & Bluesters,
                We own 20 13!!!
