And he cut down a lot of Manly's plays in the first semi with excellent defence.

      Maubs and Kennedy as backups

You simply CANNOT drop Guerra after the month of footy he has had. He completely dominated the knights on saturday, defended like a champ against Manly, and tore Souths edge defence a new asshole on round 26.

Maubs is the unfortunate casualty for Cordner's return IMO, and if LOD comes back then Napa will be the man left out for him. Liu has been metronome consistent this year, so can't see him being left out of the side either.

Its a great problem to have though, as really you could configure the team 5 ways and they'd all be brilliant sides capable of winning it.

Danish get off the fence mate. Who's it going to be? Napa or LOD?
      Maubs will definately be there.

Who do you drop for Maubs though? FPN and Guerra have both been starters ahead of maubs in the last month, with Guerra getting the nod in the backline against Souths over Maubs as well so the argument for covering the backline is null and void.

I already stated that if LOD is fit then Napa is the man dropped for him. Unlike Cordner though I think LOD is going to have to prove absolute 100% fitness before Robbo will let him back in the side. If LOD isn't running by midweek then he won't be risked IMO, whereas Cordner I am sure will be given right up till game day to prove himself.

I reckon he has to have Morts come on for Frendy as he's done all season and LOD is the man for the prop rotation. So that leaves 2 bench spots and 5 players - FPN, Nappa, Aubo, Liu and Kennedy. We all know who can do what and whoever our super coach decides to go with for the run on side and the bench, will do the job. But players are going to miss out. Which ones ??
          Marty's off the Brisvegas
Nappa and Lui have many more years of glory in front of them

not only is it martys last game with us i know him and know he will bust a gut, he was in the finals team that tackled manly to 4 nil, hes a very good defender tough as can be just the sort you want on your bench as back up prop, i think the run on side will be very fast and attacking trying to bust manly first up then the bench come on to grind them into the grass of anz?

Why is FPN so highly regarded, has terrible work rate bends the line occasionally, other than that he very average

Napa adds more value, can anyone imagine FPN matter that tackle on Burgess?

We know you have a soft spot for Marty but don't let that influence you.
Who cares if it's his last game!

LOD has to be there based on experience alone.

I think unfortunately Liu and Napa would have to miss out but then again both these players are just starting out and have age on their side, I am sure they will get their chance in years to come.

FPN doesnt do the big, noticeable things but does all the little things for us. Gets quick ball, runs good decoys, gives it all in the tackle, does all that. These are thigns that will count in these big games. No dis respect to Napa though, I love the Bell-Ranga but I think he is still young and we dont need the occasion to get the better of him.

If he dropped a ball or gave a penalty away, the young head on him might start stressing out on such a big occasion. I reckon name him and Liu and MK on an extended bench, and let them do everything that the team does during the week, GF breakkie the whole lot even warm up with them but then rest them from the 17 for kick off.

LOD would give his right leg to win this game.

                    If he's 100% fit then he's a must.

An absolute warrior who will die on that field before we lose.

I can't remember the last time we had LOD, Moa and JWH play the same game.

FPN had a very good first half against the Knights.

I'm concerned that we will be a front rower short if we leave out all of Liu, Napa and MLK.

FPN plays as a fourth prop most of the time.

Possibly Robbo's toughest decision as coach so far.

I reckon Guerra booked his spot with last week's performance. Outstanding!! LOD was brought to the club for games like this and was players player against Manly in the qualifier so has to there if fit. MK bailing to Brisbane so no. Liu is a backup for the bench at best so no. Cordner somewhere in the side if fit. For mine it's Maubs, Napa, FPN fighting it out for a GF berth with one to miss out. Maubs is the most reliable player in the team and Napa has been a revelation and is an absolute colossus. FPN also has his claims but he'd be watching from the stands if I was picking the side. Hate to be Robbo.

                          I trust Robbo's excellent judgment.
Fitness will be the first decision gate.

For mine, assuming veryone is fully fit; Lui, Napper and MLK will miss out. But I wouldn't be surprised if FPN was dropped. It all comes down to what the coaches sees week in, week out that we do not see.

Easily Robbo's toughest decision this year, but what a fantastic position to be in!!

If Cords and LOD are fit enough and say that they are ready to perform, then they come into the side for Liu and Napa in the only two changes from the 17 that played against the knights.

Liu played well against the knights and can consider himself a bit unlucky, but you could see that he was playing busted.

Napa can consider himself extremely unlucky as he had a bloody good game against the knights and will make the decision to leave him out a very tough one indeed for Robbo!

Obviously Napa and Liu if Cordner and LOD are fit. Cordner and Guerra are seasoned regulars. Liu and Napa are rookie fill-ins. Seems obvious.

It is a conundrum, because that scenario leaves us a prop short, unless FPN becomes part of the prop rotation..

Could it be Mortimer that misses out?

He only played 15 mins on saturday night. Liu only played 25 minutes..??
