Earlier in the year, I was adamant that you were hindering the team by playing at the back and some of that criticism was rightly justified. You could not throw a spiral pass to save your life, you got too involved in attack and you couldn't bend your back to gather those grubbers.
However, as the season wore on, you concentrated on your strengths and allowed this team to flourish. You rolled your sleeves up and took up the hard runs. You defused every single bomb that came away. Safe as houses. You led a relatively young team into maturity and kept the superstars grounded. You have always represented the club like a true gentleman and truly deserved that grand final ring.
Mini, for mine you had the play of the match last night. Supporting the line break as you always do, latching onto Maloney's pass (yes, forward), you threw one of the most beautiful spiral passes to a flying Skidmark that I have ever seen. If Munsie framed a market for that you would of been 256-1. That beauty, I will take to my grave along with Jenko's flyer.
