  • Who are the life long roosters from last nights team??

From the 17 who took the field last night, who do you think will be Roosters for life?? I think at the very least Pearce, Friend, Cordner, Maubs and RTS will all be wearing the RWB for years and years to come. I'm not so sure about Maloney and Jennings, and I think it's only a matter of time until Morts gets the option to play halfback for another club which he'll take with both hands.

    Thoughts??
I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

I agree with most there, except i think Maloney will stay and JWH and FPN will be here for life.

Mortimer has that Premiership under his belt now and lead Newtown to one as well. He deserves the opportunity to play half but with Pearce/Maloney, it ain't going to happen anytime soon.

Don't want to sound too cocky, but this is a young team and it has the potential to be an absolute dynasty. We will end up losing players because of money so it's hard to really get a good grasp on who will be here for the long term.

          Just enjoying the moment!

              Too right...

very grateful that Morts stayed & won the title but he deserves BIG BUCKS from another team who needs him

also Napa & Evans need to be secured long term to support JWH & Moa.

Hopefully some of them take pay cuts so they can all stay together long term, similar to like they claim happened at manly. Then again they might not have too if the cap keeps going up

I think the same about Pearce, he's been a completely different player since Origin 3, commanding, calm, sensible. Last night he was outstanding, kicked well under pressure, took on the line at the right times and was rock solid in defence as always.

People say halfbacks peak in their mid 20s, i think next year Pearce will reward the good faith of origin selectors and have a blinder, having a steadying influence at 6 (just like we saw in 2010) sees jr jr play his best footy.

SKD should be the first person on that list of who would be a Rooster for life

The fact he played nearly 3/4 of last nights game with a broken Jaw.

He showed heart last night, he is a proud Rooster !
