  • World Club Challenge will be played at SFS

Don't bother booking tickets to England for the world club challenge it'll be here at our sacred home ground the SFS, due to the nines tournament being in NZ and the World Cup being in the UK this year it'll be too much travelling for alot of the boys.

      Good news.
I didn't want our guys going over there. It's a big disruption to the season and makes an already long season even longer.
We need to concentrate on back to back, not beating some second rate English side.

I quite like Wigan as Fletch played for them so I'm looking forward to this. I hope they release the date soon because I have holidays around February and do not want to be away from Sydney. Mind you, it will be up around the mid 30 degrees then so the Englishmen will fade in the heat, unlike freezing in the north of England at the same time of year. Smart move...

I've been hearing this rumour for the better part of this year so it's not an Easts decision.

I guess Sam Tomkins still won't be available to Wigan?

Didn't our 1975 team play St Helens at the SCG? Is this the first time since then that the WCC has been played in Australia?

It just wouldn't be a world club challenge without flogging St.Helens !

                              Awesome news if true.

If they time it well enough with the Ashes series a few poms might stay behind too.

Hopefully the game is priced fairly enough to entice a crowd of 20k+
