I think the Broncos played Wigan in 94 or 95 in Brisbane.

    Wigan beat 'em.

Wigan played Brisbane at Brisbane ANZ in 1994 and beat them so it will be no pushover.

If we win against them we will be equal first with Leeds, Wigan and bradford with 3 wins each.

Hope T Robbo takes it seriously like Sticky.

All i know it's in February, date not confirmed yet.

        Excellent news.

As Coggy said, we'll flog them.

          Awesome.

I'd be coming back down to Sydney for this one for sure.

I regard the WCC quite highly so it'd be great to see us win it.

big problem we have is that we could have more than half our top 25 squad playing in the world cup, by the time they have 6 weeks off they won't be back training till mid January, not sure the club would want to be going all out when the players are not that far into the pre-season.

at this stage we have Cordner/Jennings/FPN/Moa/RTS/JWH/Langi/Tupou/Seluini/Napa/Evans/MacDonald/Mini/Guerra/Casty playing with various nations and that is without the Samoan side being named yet.

going to be a tough pre-season for Robbo to introduce any new attacking structures with so many players coming back late to training.

Why change anything if it's not broken.

Wigan should have a strong WC representation also.

We will win if we take it seriously.

The game is normally played a fortnight before the season kicks off so the players would be pretty wound up by then.

Innovation is the key to long term success, teams get figured out and they need to adapt. The greatest are always one step ahead of the rest.

I don't think Robbo will go far from his core principles and philosophy of the game but he's spoken publicly about wanting to re-invent modern day attacking structures.

If they time it well enough with the Ashes series a few poms might stay behind too.

Hopefully the game is priced fairly enough to entice a crowd of 20k+
That size crowd wont be hard to get....

A lot of poms will turn up, including the Burgess's

I like the sound of that! And it's about time our 1976 victory against St Helens was officially acknowledged. It showed foresight, and it was a match to determine the world champions!

nothing is confirmed yet, discussions are still in progress.

                                http://www.foxsports.com.au/league/r...ce=twitterfeed

Roosters officials met with ARLC and IRFL officials today to discuss the logistics.

To me, it's a no brainer, Wigan will be in NZ for the 9's tornament, just bring the whole team !

The fans, well, there will be a shitload of poms here because of the Ashes tests this summer, surely there would be a few wigan supporters there !

Our fans, well, there would be no bloody excuse NOT TO BE AT THIS EVENT (barring medical and or life or death situations)
