    The guy did more hit ups and made more metres than any other forward on the field in the GF. He's averaged 20 something tackles a game on top of that. I would love to have the opportunity to sit down and do some stats on McCarthy's games. I would back SBW's workrate all night. Coote and SBW are both a million miles in front of McCarthy.

      He is clearly upset because his one claim to fame - playing a GF with a broken jaw - was not only emulated, but surpassed by SKD. That is, not only did SKD play a GF with a broken jaw, but he scored the match winning try.

          Couldn't agree more with you on both Sattlers. I saw daddy Sattler play and he was over rated whilst also being a classic cheap shot artist - he got his dues in that grand final resulting in a busted jaw and to play thru to the finish was commendable yet as time goes by he is heralded as one of the greats which is pathetic.Sattler comments on Sonny are typical of his play - cheap just like his pal Bob McCarthy no wonder Ron Coote wanted to leave that low club

            It's so funny that these fossils clearly let their bias cloud their judgement of games. If they actually sat down and watched a game from a neutral perspective they would see that Sonny averages more metres than most forwards in the comp to go with all the 'flash' stuff they continue to downplay.

            To say that Sonny 'doesn't hold a candle to McCarthy' is the most absurd thing I have ever heard a footballer say.. And that's saying something when you have intellects such as Blake Ferguson in the game today.

              Yes, I know. The latest dribble came not from McCarthy, but Sattler. I remember him from my childhood (and I am now rapidly approaching old age). He was a thug.

                The hate and excruciating jealousy and bitterness shown by our detractors, the most painful examples being these LOL bedwetters from Souffs, is the perfect complement to my profound pleasure at our GF triumph against all sorts of hindrances.

                Keep bringing it on!!!

                      The Clive Churchill medal winner needs an overhaul. Judges shouldn't deliberate on who they think should get it. The people choosing it should write down the name of their MOM and hand it to an independent person.

                      My take on the the selection of DCE as the winner;

                      1. They did not want to reward SBW with it as he left the game, came back and won a grand final, and unsure if he will stay.
                      2. Fulton should have nothing to do with anything if Manly are involved. Surely a conflict of interest.
                      3. McCarthy is just jealous of the Roosters.

                      If DCE was the best player on the ground he would have helped Manly win the game. In the last 20 minutes, DCE missed more tackles than any other Manly player and helped the Roosters win the game. Maybe that is why he got it.

                      Go the Roosters!

                          That would be right, Politis got bagged from pillar to post by the media & some of the rugby league fraternety at the start of the season for bringing Sonny back It turned out to be a bigger coo than freddy in the 90's. Now crowe wants to slide under the radar & get him. Typical, why do souffs need him they keep beating their chest about local jouniors prove it win a comp.

                              Has a player ever won premierships with 3 different clubs? Actually I think that might be something that would appeal to Sonny.
