That sums it all up really. What gave me the biggest indication that we would win the big one was after the pre lim against the Knights. As much as I wanted the boys to come over and say hello, I was so happy that thaey stayed tight as a bunch and clapped the crowd and departed to the sheds quickly.

Have a look at the way Manly celebrated after the Souffs victory. Sharks after the Cows, and Knoghts after the Storm. They had all played their big game.

Robbo never let this side get ahead of themselves.

Even after the Minor Prem win over Souffs, soon as the hooter went, didn't they start handing out Minor Prem T-Shirts for the players to wear ...but Robbo put a quick end to that and made them take them off !

Putting that into context, it was in response to the 'SCUM - Forever in Our Shadow' banner. He came out and had a go at the people who unfurled that sign saying it was in poor taste. 'Roosters fans are misguided and delusional but they are not scum' was the quote from memory.

The last two years was their window. Their confidence is shot after losing two preliminary finals. I can't see them improve unless they recruit similar to what we did this year. They need at least two star backs and a decent 5/8 which just aren't available. They are desperate for Fergo but we may trump them.

Freddie made a good point after Souffs lost. He said when he came to the Roosters he played in 5 finals series before he finally made it to the big dance. Times have changed so things may be different, but I wouldn't write souffs off yet. I think they are learning that you can't play the same footy all year and win the big game. You have to change it up and go to another level. Its funny actually cause a lot of souffs fans were saying that us signing Trent Robinson was a sign that we were trying to copy them. That may well have been the case, the difference being that our man knew how to get the job done!

Headless i couldn't give 2 farks about Souffs but i'm still dumbfounded as to why they didn't continue to play Luke Keary off the bench. To me, Keary added another dimension to their attack especially when coming off the bench late in the 2nd half. His zip and show 'n go terrorised tiring opposition forwards. IMO Maguire got it half right by changing it up & introducing him into FG but stuffed up by not playing him at all come the finals instead preferring to go with an extra forward. Ironically Keary will probably play 5/8 in 2014 and push slow John Sutton to lock.

Had my own lol@souffs moment today at Wyong Coles. Walked in wearing a Roosters jersey as I have everyday since the gf and noticed soneone in a red and green rabbit onesie at the checkout. I called out "go rabbits" to him. He turned toward me with a, fair dinkum toothless grin, noticed what I was wearing, then started unloading the biggest swearfest tirade at myself and my daughter who was wearing a Roosters cap. Many children and parents present as well. The cashier called security who removed him from the store...
