  • JT to Parra

Heard Ray Hadley this morning say that he reckons JT has the numbers with the Parra board in their appointment for a coach for next season....his mail is usually correct !
If true will be a big loss to our coaching staff.

The votes have been leaked the board voted 4-2 in favour of Jason Taylor.

You just don't know with Parra though.

Ray told me it would only happen if I voted for the coalition.

He'll be a big loss but it isn't all bad.

Robbo is the key piece and sometimes keeping the guys around him fresh allows you to bring in new ideas and evolve your game to keep pace.

Obviously i'd rather JT stay; but our talent scouting in the coaching department has been immense so I look forward to a tremendously talented young assistant coming in with fresh ideas.

bring back Freddy and Lammy to replace Green and J.T

then you would have Robbo/Fitzy/Freddy/Lammy not a bad group of Roosters legends and when Morley retires he can come in as forwards coach.

As others have said in another thread, I also concur that the Robbo JT combo is good for us especially when you look at both in the box there at the game. Shame to lose him.
I was hoping they'd get Price in as he has put his hands up. Not sure how he is as a coach but maybe it would have been funny to watch old pricey at Parra.

I like that idea a lot Fletch. Particulary Freddy who I imagine does not hold any urgent ambition to be a first grade coach. But an assistant's role with his beloved Roosters sounds perfect.

I think Freddy is to busy with his carefree commentating role with Ch9 .....seems to be enjoying that to much to get involved with the pressures associated with coaching duties ..... even assistant duties.

You could be right there Hawkeye. Freddy certainly seems to have an enjoyable life. Good on him

Player power may hold the key there. The loony asylum that is the parra eels will more then likely cave in to what that shit house roster of talent wants, that's Brad Arthur. There really pushing for him to get the gig.

We would miss JT - especially with the loss of Green. Pearce gave JT a lot of credit for his form this year in an interview.

Maybe Fitzy can move up from the waterboy to an assistant. Most teams seem to go with a halves coach as well as it has such a big impact on a teams performance. I wonder what Finchy is doing now he has retired?

I always thought he had a melon made for the old Teev.

                              Agreed.

IMO he's an experienced, well-read technical/tactical style coach. While I'm not sure if all the players warm to other aspects of his coaching, the knowledge/experience he brings to the table will be missed.
