Yeah I think he dodged a bullet big time. A better opportunity will come up for JT.

Great money but for such a talented young player the thought of going to Parramatta must be very depressing. Surely that is why Ricky left as well?

I remember Robbo mentioning about it being important that we ended up getting our defense in order this year, and that next year they will be focusing on the next revolution in our attack.. JT would be a big part of that. Glad he's staying.

JT was on Fox sports said he was pretty much offered the Parra job but couldn't agree on a few terms. Sounded like he didn't want to work with Anderson as a coaching director.
Anyway he still seemed very happy about sticking around next year. Called his role the Easts as the best assistants job in the world of Rugby League.
I'm happy we have him.

If they don't get their act together soon, the NRL will surely have to move in and assist/support/cleanout.
Being a former Parra & Tigers player he could quite easily have kick started his NRL career at either of these clubs especially at the Tigs once Sheens got knifed. Tigers went scouting the ESL for Brown & Potter but decided on Potter because he was after less and just wanted an opportunity in the NRL. Fortunately Uncle Nick nabbed TRobbo beforehand.
Trent is/has always been highly respected in league circles. Clever operator.
