Yeah I think he dodged a bullet big time. A better opportunity will come up for JT.

they said hoppa had a get out clause if JT was appointed coach.
must have played a big part in the decision.

Why wouldn't Hoppa want to play under JT?

Yeah I've heard it mentioned as well. Probably just an excuse to get out of playing for Parramatta. What did he sign for? 800k? Great money but for such a talented young player the thought of going to Parramatta must be very depressing. Surely that is why Ricky left as well?

plus, gonna be ALOT of expectation on him to help the team do well. he should just come to easts for half that money, and enjoy life at a sonny, harmonic club.

I can confirm that Parra were very keen to sign JT; a former long term player told me that JT was their preferred target but they were concerned that their board were in total disarray and split over who they preferred, not a happy club, it will take years for them to recover.

sounds like parra ceo has gone against the boasrd and hired arthur instead of jt, i do feel for jt but its just too good for us keeping a consistant squad across the park for next season!

I remember Robbo mentioning about it being important that we ended up getting our defense in order this year, and that next year they will be focusing on the next revolution in our attack.. JT would be a big part of that. Glad he's staying.

Lol, we were first in attack and we've been paying most of our attention to defense.

                        It's scary.

With JT and SBW staying we will be unstoppable next year.

JT was on Fox sports said he was pretty much offered the Parra job but couldn't agree on a few terms. Sounded like he didn't want to work with Anderson as a coaching director.

Anyway he still seemed very happy about sticking around next year. Called his role the Easts as the best assistants job in the world of Rugby League.

                            I'm happy we have him.

If they don't get their act together soon, the NRL will surely have to move in and assist/support/cleanout.
Timing is everything and we are so damn lucky things worked in our favour with TRobbo getting the gig in 2013.
Being a former Parra & Tigers player he could quite easily have kick started his NRL career at either of these clubs especially at the Tigs once Sheens got knifed. Tigers went scouting the ESL for Brown & Potter but decided on Potter because he was after less and just wanted an opportunity in the NRL. Fortunately Uncle Nick nabbed TRobbo beforehand.

Trent is/has always been highly respected in league circles. Clever operator.
