The fact of the matter is his entire statement is wrong. He claimed that Symonds is the only legitimate local Eastern Suburbs junior playing in the NRL. Fact is, there's two. Blake Ayshford is also a junior.Comment

In regards to grand finals here is an interesting fact in the 2004 grand final the bulldogs fielded 4 local juniors with the roosters fielding 1 and would have been 2 except for the suspension of Luke Ricketson.
Don't believe the hype.
Yes we don't have a big junior base, but clubs that do and are successful don't necessarily field sides brimming with juniors.Comment

This man wants to wax lyrical about the Burgess brothers at every opportunity. Are they local juniors? I do believe they were paid for with a cheque book too, not a bag of lima beans. In this day and age of the salary cap, the argument is useless and baseless. In the meantime, I will continue to scout for the next big thing for our juniors in Martin Place every day, which is our territory.

Having no local juniors doesn't seem to have done the Storm any harm. OK, they have Fonua....but he's the only one since they came into the comp.
