Fergo is at the peak of his game. The games he played this year were by far better than what SKD has produced and he was consistent. Canberra had very little once he stopped playing.
SKD was at his peak in 2010 thanks to Carney but I wouldn't even call it peak; more like an aberation. He did nothing all year in attack and he improved his defense in the last month although there were two tries down his side on the GF. Not putting sole blame on him. He will not improve. He provides no value for his $350K.

If we have potent attacks on both sides, we are close to unstoppable. Teams won't know where to look.
We need to see where we can improve the team and that right side is the obvious field position. It has been since the days of SKD and Pez. I don't care if it is Fergo or another quality centre.

Why haven't we signed our legendary captain yet? Because we won't and the team will improve. Plenty signed a petition to save our previous captain and look what happened in the couple of years after that. Plenty were p!ssed off when Fitzy was not re-signed. Players move on for the betterment of the team. All teams look to where they can improve, even premiers.

No question Ferguson is a talent but he is obviously a massive dickhead. I don't think we need him. If Robbo wants to give him a chance then I back our coach's opinion but personally I would be very disapointed to see SKD be pushed out to accomodate this bloke.

Staggering. Did anyone ever watch Ferguson prior to this year? Most of the time, he was absolutely pants.

It's Ferguson's first full year playing in the centre position and he absolutely killed it.
You watch the guy perform under a decent coach in a good club system. He'll be unplayable.
By the way, I have watched Ferguson prior to this and I've admired him since watching him play on the wing for Cronulla.

As this is a thread about SKD, I will repeat what I said, I don't care if it is Fergo or not. We need someone better than SKD to improve our right side. We got rid of one of the clowns in Pez and most of the same people with the manlove for SKD and Anasta were having a sook. He is now long out of everybody's memory as is Anasta. The same will happen with SKD.

He will go down in Roosters folklore just like Satler did playing in a GF with a broken jaw. But that is all Satler is remembered for and has lived off it for 40+ years. Now he thinks he has the right to bag the qualities of SBW because of a broken jaw.

The culture and the coach has a massive impact, if we did sign him it would be under strict conditions. this team is on a mission and I think Fergo would buy in, the kid is deadly and I think Robo could harness him. SKD has done fark all the last 3 yrs I wouyld punt him, he is our weakest link by far.

And if Robbo decides he wants to stick with SKD (he's given no indication that he wont) & beleives he can get the best out of him & is the best option for the team will that be good enough for you? Something tells me it wont be.

As far as needing someone better than SKD to improve our side, didnt we just win the Premiership & didnt we show ourselves to be by far and away the best team this year? Funny thing is I used to joke that even if we won the comp, it still wouldnt be good enough for some on here & there would still be some on here whinging & thinking we could do better. Sad thing is I was 100% corrrect.

Oh & 1 more thing, does anyone really beleive we would be celebrating a premiership (well at least some of are) if 1 of our starting centres came off in the 1st 20 minutes, throwing our defensive structures into dissaray & being 1 player down for most of the GF? Maybe something for a few of you SKD bashers to ponder.

Anyway i'm sick of all the pathetic SKD bashing on here I'm off to enjoy another viewing of the GF.

What did SKD do in the GF that was so spectacular?
He didn't create anything to put four points on the board.
He was out of position to take a SBW pass that would have put him into the clear.
He off loaded in real traffic that coul dhave really hurt us.
