  • Cordner's shoulder

Didn't he need a reconstruction in the off-season?

    What is the story there?

If he has it after the WC then he could be a late starter for 2014.

Hope he doesn't do any more damage.

He will be a star next year.

Mate on the news last week he said he needs minor surgery on both shoulders.

I can't remember how long he will be out for but he could be a late starter next season.

It's not ideal but the confidence and experience he would get from playing in a World Cup is priceless.

he needs operations on both shoulders, will be out between 8-12 weeks so will be really pushing it to be right for round 1.

not many clubs would let a player of Cordner's calibre delay surgery like we have, just look at Manly ruling out the Stewart brothers and Watmough.

I think it shows immense mutual respect. The bloke deserves the honour of a World Cup start. He's paid his dues this year and we can afford to give him the first month of the competition off.

It can also act as a chance for the younger players, such as napa and langi, and also even casty to cement a spot in the team (obviously not at the expense of Cordner, but somewhere in the 17) I think the selection of moa and Liu this year proved robbo explicitly picks on merit

The kid deserves his spot in the WC.

We covered well for him when he was out for 6 weeks and we probably have better depth next year.

              I hope he smashes SBW.

Do you honestly think the roosters would allow him to go on tour and delay his operation if he was going to miss some footy for us next year?

From what I have heard, it is pretty hard to hold him back from footy of any kind. I think telling him that he can't represent his country for the first time would've been impossible.

Mind over matter can only take you so far

Cords may think he's 10 foot tall & bullet proof but there's always payback in terms of injuries

strong shoulders are paramount for a back rower, lets hope he overcomes this without allowing pride to take over

                        Yes I do.

They actually wanted him to have the operation before the first round but he begged them to carry it for the season.
