    JT might not know it yet, but he has dodged a bullet not getting the Parramatta coaching job, it quite possibility could of been the nail in the coffin of his future coaching career. Don't believe all the fairy floss coming out of the club, that everything is now all rosey and buddy,buddy, this mob make the Gestapo look like Dads Army.

    There is a lot of back watching going on at board level, and a rookie coach having to contend with a football manager, as he is finding his feet in first grade coaching, is a remedy for a disaster, if they don't click.Just sit tight with us JT until an acceptable position comes up, you are still only young in coaching terms, your chance will come, with a strong club, not a basket case.

      100% agree. I know that fulltime coaches are paid substantially more than assistants, but really when you weigh up the pressure they go under and the risk they have of losing their jobs.

      and then you have to consider the place he was going to , parramatta. They've invested most of their money in a star player who's been injured/ out of form recently, a gimp in the halves, and quite a few overrated/ overpaid signings over the last 2-3 years. Their youth is not what it once was either.

        Agreed... a number of bad decisions since making the GF will make life tough for Parra. These include:
        - Paying Sandow the same as what we're getting SBW/Jennings for ($550k)
        - Paying Mortimer 250k then quickly changing their minds after securing him and paying us to take him off their hands.
        - Doing that whole weird contract thing with Papalii that he was never going to follow through with.
        - Failing to sign Israel Folau.
        - Sacking 11 players without any replacement plan.
        - Playing Hayne when he's been injured/not ready. It weirded me out when they played us this year because Hayne grabbed his card (ready to play) then Sticky told him to run down to the changerooms instead as a 'mind game'. At this stage they were down by a significant amount of points so the mind games evidently didn't mess with us. If I remember correctly he then ran on and got injured? (Maybe just my imagination). Either way the Hayne drain has been managed poorly IMO.

        What can you do as a coach from there? I guess pleanty of opportunity if they are willing to back somebody... not for JT.

            Why was JT shown in a photo in the fkn telecrap wearing a fkn souths shirt? Don't those di#kheads editors check and know that he is a fkn Rooster now and hasn't been in that filthy shirt for years?

                His only hope are the tigpies, who's marquee signing is Anasta :/

                It's sad to watch both these teams fail because I actually like watching them when their at their best. I wish something like this would happen to souffs or manly or melbourne. That's when it's funny .

                  Was thinking the same thing, even wondering if it was intentional by a rabbit in the editing room. Smh has really fallen away since they cut back staff. The corrections are very entertaining. Last week they had to apologise for a picture of a convicted rapist who turned out to be a completely different inmate doing time for break and enter. Imagine explaining that to your family and friends!!!

                    It's a part of a running battle I have had with the sports section and using inappropriate stock photos. Just lazy journalism and the running down of the role professional photographers play in the modern newspapers.

                    When we resigned Daniel Tupou they put a photo of Anthony Topou in a Cronulla jersery. Nice if we could have signed them both for the same money. When we beat the Warriors they used a photo from the previous seasons game thinking no one would notice the previous years jersery.

                    Just more of the poor standard of sports journalism in recent years.
