No just kidding...I found this one and if anyone hasn't watched it, then you'll be amazed of some of the 1975 talent. I had forgotten how fast Mark harris and my old teacher Ian Schubert at #2 was.You can compare these two with any backs playing today...I also recall jumping the fence after every game at the Sports ground and seeing giants Bob & Des Oreilly, Ron Coote and co. Those were the days..Enjoy!

Thanks again ROC181.I also remember the collission that Ian had with Lord Ted and he came to school, no BS, the next day to take the class with shades. Nothing about celebrating the night after...it could have been the Tuesday now that I think about it as they may had a KB or 10 after the GF.
As for the backline...you know when people say that Jennings or maloney, whoever is playing now is a great rooster of all time, you know I think that you have to give them time. Mark Harris did about 9 seasons I think and he deserves to still be one of the best centers we've had. jennings may take that but only history will tell, not one season. Also Schuberts speed and twists to make breaks, Arties elegance, Mayes perserverance, Brass, Mullins and the rest...all greats!!!Last edited by ROC181; 10-19-2013, 06:33 PM.

All right, mate, which one is you?
(Bet you never thought you'd see this photo again!)
Oh what a shame. I have that photo and I just scanned it ... but I just can't get this site to work with photos at the moment.Last edited by Tom Verlaine's Ghost; 10-19-2013, 08:24 PM.

That's a cool moment Roc. I am about the same age as you Roc remember being the only Easts Supporter in the school when we all told to go home and support Canterbury in the 1974 grand final.
Loved watching the video again what a job it would be defending against Harris and Mullins, brilliant side and my all time favourite Artie Beetson. Fantastic support play and Ian Schubert was great.
