  • How many 1st grade games will Kane Evans play in 2013?

What do people reckon? It's a tough team to break into. Especially if LOD re-signs.

It's not exactly now or never, but if he's the star we all hope he is then I'd like to think 2014 will be his year.

I'll say 6. A few through injury and a few due to Origin. Similar to Napa this year I guess.

I'd love to see him play all the games even though it won't happen till at least 2015

But because he's coming off a big injury he'll be like Napa was this year for us, so he'll play a handful during origin

Unsure if Liu has re-signed yet? So possibly another spot will be up for offer.

None in 2013 But hopefully he gets a few in 2014 sorta like Napa this year will do for a start.

Personally, with the plethora of front rowers we have, I'd play him as a wide running second rower. I think he could be as damaging as SBW in years to come.

Somewhere between 5-10 with the plan of giving him a full season in 2015.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of LOD or Casty play lock next season. Which leaves one bench spot for Liu, Napa & Evans to battle for.

Robbo has shown though that if you play well enough he will keep you in the first grade side and Evans has definitely got that point of difference about him compared to ALL the other props in our side. He's definitely capable of forcing his way into the side and then holding onto his position.

I've thought that when watching him before as well. Gordon Tallis Mach II.

The only concern I would have is his work rate and mobility in defence for a second rower.

I love where we are at.

Moga and Evans will both have to work their rings out just for a bench spot. Blessed are we.

Evans is not 1st grade standard yet, he'd get snapped in half if he played 1st grade

Snapped in half? He's a monster.

Defensively found out, maybe, but snapped in half?

                      No ****ing chance.

I saw him next to SBW they looked like twins, he wont be snapped in half no change he just needs to get use to the pace.

I think the big powerful second rower is an outdated role in the modern day game, you need to be very mobile, offer some ball playing ability & run great overs/unders lines.

Evans will kill it in the middle, he'll just play a less structured game for a prop and run a lot wider than most props like Tamou & Fifita have done in the past effectively. His ability to put his head through the line and find his front resulting in a quick play the ball has got to be a big temptation for Robbo.

depends on his first couple of games, if he can play great in his first or second game game, I can see evans playing a lot of games next year

Very few games in 2014 unless we have a number of injuries, etc. and he'll miss four times as many tackles as games he plays.
