In essence its a bigger thing that Moga.
Its the U20s, a bullshit competition producing on average nothing but overhyped, defensively challenged pea hearts.
Not all of them but alot are. You can probably count on one hand the number of "Real" footballers playing in an U20s squad.

When someone starts raving about the attacking abilities of a player coming through the U20s,it means nothing to me.
When someone started talking about the defensive abilities of a player coming through the U20s I listen.

To me there is truth all around this thread.

Moga was signed as the next big thing when the roosters were short on class out wide. Hence, a desire by fans to see him progress quickly. It has not happened.

Do I believe that this has not happened due to bad luck?
Not entirely. Watching him play first grade did not inspire me to believe he would reach any great heights. To me he is a lazy defender as king billy alluded to. Clearly this also translates at times to his training ethic.

He probably signed a contract worth 300k as a teenager.
No wonder he thinks he is the sh1t.

                  He ain't.
                  I'm not a fan.
                  barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

My only concern with Moga is he lacks the agility of a decent back. He is too slow to turn and chase. The same problem we had with Soliola and BJ. If coaching staff genuinely see Moga as a back then I would like to see him trim right down to 100kgs.

I want to see him after a full off season and most of next season training with the squad and having Robbo work his magic before I write him off

True, but watching any of the players in that particular first grade team would not inspire much confidence either, but some now wear a premiership ring. I won't write him off until I've seen him fully fit and playing within Coach Robinson's structure. If he fails under those conditions, then he fails.

Kingbilly, mate you are a bit harsh.

Everyone has to start somewhere and come through the grades. They are all learning and experiencing 26 weeks of football and training 4 days a week for the first time. They are apprentices. You wouldn't get a second year apprentice to build your house or an intern perform brain surgery on you (although for you that is minor surgery). Chill out, the kids are having a go and it is not there fault they are learning on a big stage which should be changed and will be. Have you watched reserve grade (NSW Cup) the defence is pretty average there too, that why first grade is so good and hard to achieve. Moga has had 2 major injuries and has just turned 20. He is learning and will be a player, probably not a centre, but still a good player.

How good where you at your chosen profession at 18 or 19?

                                Totally agree.

I cringed when i read the title thread mainly because Moga's supposed "attitude" was at a time when Smith was unnecessarily
riding him in 2011 playing for the Jets. At the time Moga had every right to defend himself and throw it back at the mad professor.
Mark my words.....under TRobbo, TauTau will flourish when given the opportunity. He's dropped weight and is raring to go.
