However with the squad looking pretty much settled, I can't see too many acquisitions arriving in the next few months.... Rather re-signing the likes of mini, liu an langi will probably be top of the priority list
Ive been watching Langi a bit in the World Cup .I would say he is a must for first grade spot on the bench as I think he is ready to be a first grader .We all know he is a 5/8th but has a strong build etc and can fill in the back row as well .Good Player dont hold him back for too long.

Langi has been earmarked as a lock forward.

He will really need to work hard on his defense over the off season!! He only played a couple of games in 1st grade, but that game against cronulla at shark park his defense was terrible!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

              Here's looking at you, kid.

Lock forward sounds like the perfect spot for him to me. As long as he can handle the defensive workload as a forward he'd do a great job there. I don't think he'd defend in the middle. More likely he'd swap with Cordner (or whoever the left second rower is) in attack and defence. Much the same as what SBW did with the right second rower late in the season. He's got such a crisp and smart passing game to his left and would excel as a second five-eighth on that side of the field. He plays his best footy when he receives the ball one or two off the ruck and steps off his left either behind the ruck or against sliding defenders. Lock in attack would allow that will Cordner and RTS out the back as his pass options. He also provides a great short kicking option close to the line for Jennings and Tupou. And having 3 kicking options (4 if you count Friend) does wonders for your long kicking game and ability to run the ball on the last. Coming off the bench as lock replacing FPN would be perfect next year. FPN does the middle third running and defence for the first 20. Then Langi comes on against tired ruck defenders and Cordner shifts to lock in defence after being fresh from second row in D in the first 20. Lock forward in such a strong team will suit Langi because he can really pick his times to run and won't be a go-to man every play like he has had to be in 20s and at the World Cup. I can see him putting Cordner and Jennings over the line quite a lot next year. The only problem I see is that after SBW leaves we will become very left side dominant. Langi, Maloney and RTS are all very much left side players. Not sure what side Hastings prefers but we might see a bit more of Maloney playing on the right next year.

I think that was more to do with the fact he hadn't played or trained there all season until the week before. It's the most difficult position to defend at and the Sharks sent plenty of plays to that side with great variety. It was his ability to read the play from centre that was lacking rather than his physical ability to defend. He'd be a lot more comfortable two in from there defending in the second row, especially after a preseason worth of training in that defensive position.

Very sure mate. I was chatting to him @ the Newc semi-final and that's the role he'll be training in the off season.
What he lacks in pace he makes up for with good reading of play and setting up his fringe players. I'm expecting him to shine in the
                    Auckland 9's tournament.

Whilst not lightning quick I saw Langi make a scything run in the centres in the 2nd half against Cronulla which suggests he might be quicker than you give him credit for

Yeah I wouldn't say he's slow at all. If he was to play backrow he'd be one of the quickest in the comp. I saw him make up 15 metres on a Sharks winger starting from the other edge of the field in the NYC mid season. Didn't get to him in time but boy could he motor without the ball.

I watched Casty this morning and I must say I wasn't impressed. He looks a little light and struggled to bend the line, he may provide good back up in the back row but will struggle up front in the NRL.

I was at that game I am pretty sure I remember that chase The try conceded was from a scrum where they went down the short side It was absolutely diabolical defence We lost that game to Cronulla who at the time were running .last

That's the one mate. It was woeful defence, pretty much summing up how we defended all game really. But wasn't Langi quick! I couldn't believe anyone even got close to their winger (had 1 on his back but Dallas Wells was playing fullback for them) and really couldn't believe it was Langi that had almost caught him. That winger must have made 300m that night.

Yeah he does look light but I would have said the same thing about Moa tbh. Casty seems to go hard to make up for it for mine. And he does have a good engine. My big issue is his handling and decision making. Every game I've seen him in so far he's made soft errors be it at impact or trying to push a stupid offload. But in saying that I think he will be good for us next year under Robbo again.
