Bloody hell, there would be no one there to watch the game. Would this site have to be renamed to The Chookden?

We would relocate to the Ukraine before this merge would get the OK from the fans.

I could handle a relocation but not a merger....

talk about panic....someone gets the spoon every year, we would have to be the only supporter base with enough loonies that think relocation is a sensible reaction to this.

Short term many of you are probably right in saying the club should stay put, long term I think the same ones have their heads in the sand.

Eventually I can see the club being forced to merge or relocate regardless of how our season went. Newton were in the GF in 1981...gone the very next year!

If our board is half as smart as everyone claims, we have nothing to worry about...

              Chook.

Mate Newtown were run like a pub team.

The Easts Group are a very powerful organisation. We have 2 other leagues clubs already with another in the pipeline at Narellan.

We are going nowhere, in the short or long term.

I'm leaning towards your thinking on this Chook.

Short term I think the Roosters are safe in the Eastern Suburbs, long term I'm not certain.

Fact is a lot of the Chooks supporter base nowdays does not live in the Eastern Suburbs, they travel in from all parts of Sydney and even outside.

As for the claim of our Board being smart, given some of the decisions made over the past few years, I'd be seriously questioning that in the context of football smarts.

Running a successful football club is totally different to running a vehicle conglomerate or a financial institution. A totally different mindset is needed.

It will be interesting to see what state the Club is in 10-15 years time. I'm sure it will stil be be in existence - in some shape or form.

I would bet the SFS is more accessible to the majority of fans than Gosford.

Souffs are flirting with Perth, souffs will move to perth, as soon as souffs move to Perth, along with our link to Newtown, we will have all the Innerwest to balmain southern sydney suburbs and rest of the eastern suburbs to la Pa.

We will be THE SYDNEY Roosters.

All we need is souffs to move.....With PHaC on the board, they may as well start booking their tickets, regardless of how successful they are.

To love Easts is to hate Souffs

Great! Then we will gat back the territory that was wrongly taken from us in the thirties.

To be honest I'm not a fan of Gosford and I think we're alright financial wise for the moment. But we may have to in the future.

Every year it costs more and more to run a team and if we get crowds as we do right now (Which will keep happening if we stay where we are now ladder wise) our revenue won't go up. Someone once told me that we once had to pay the SFS $40,000 to put a game on. So if you lose money how much longer can you keep losing money for and still be afloat?
