Did Braith Anasta get a mention guys? I feel just the tiniest bit optimistic about the changes seemingly being wrought at the Roosters.

LR, no Braith didn't get a mention. But as i've mentioned in a previous post, the club will not refuse him a release if he secures an alternative arrangement i.e Rugby or another club. The club approached him and encouraged him as well.

        Thanks Gman.

With Carney coming (?), Smith's firm views on lock forwards, Anasta's ability to play a limited number of certain positions well, the writing was/is on the wall for Braith.

When did the club approach Anasta about a release?

            10 new leagues clubs ?

Are they going to be like those Dell Kiosks located in shopping centers.?

They are $24 million in debt already.

              Unofficially after season's end.
One of my work colleagues was having a beer with a departing player who told him "Mason isn't the only one they're trying to off load".

I hope you are wrong but I really don't want to see Braith gone. One guy who works his butt off win or lose. Still I think he will be 5/8th next year and Carney at Full back

I agree. He gives 100% each game.
Anasta's solid frame endears him to the lock-forward position allowing Carney to play in the halves. Then again we are fortunate that Carney's versatility will allow Smith to cover for backline injuries or positional changes to suit team dynamics.
Anasta should set himself up for retirement & chase the big $$ Rugby Union can offer.

After 2009 he may be fed up like some others and looking for a retirement fund.

the names he mentioned in particular were 2009 Aust Schoolboys
Cheyse Blair, Jacob Miller & Joseph Leilua. Also said Boyd would have represented as well if he hadn't sustained that nasty broken jaw.
Their names come up when he was describing how the clubs past ways had to change i.e patience. Peter O'Sullivan is doing a fab job.
I'm very excited about this Te Kiri kid too!!
Thanks mate, I think this is great news. Blair, Miller, Leilua and Cordner are very special talents and it's great to hear that they will be developed through our system before moving up into first grade. It's always been a worrying aspect that we throw our young kids into first grade too early but continuing to play the SG Ball eligible players in their own age competition can only be a good thing. It's gives them confidence. That Keanu Te Kiri kid will join these four next year and he is a great player. Very exciting play to watch.
