  • Moga will not be ready till mid 2014

just saw a tweet from the official roosters twitter feed wishing TauTau a happy birthday and someone asked how his recovery was going and the response was he is on track for a return mid 2014

not sure if he has had a setback in his recovery or the club is finally taking a more cautious approach and letting his ACL graft properly take by giving him 10-12 months off not the 6 months after the first operation.

That's a very long time, he done it pre season last year ffs.

I hate to say it, but I'm not sure he'll live up to expectations after this injury run.

    Hope I'm wrong...

Mind you, some people expectations are ridiculous as it is!

I think he re-injured it during his return. Also think Boyd if you wish to be more optimisitic about his recovery

He did the first one pre-season this time last year, but then a second time in mid 2013. Hence it would be a full year following his latest ACL if he was to return mid next year.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the second one his other knee? Rendering the argument that the club didn't give him long enough to recover null and void.

he re-tore his ACL in the last week of June, so he should be around 5 months post his second knee reconstruction, so another 5-6 months slowly working back and letting the graft take this time should see him back around may sometime.

club is going to have a really tough decision about TauTau future because he is in a contract year and they are likely to have to make a judgement about whether to extend his contract before he plays any first grade in 2014, the Broncos will be surely trying to entice him back to QLD in 2015 in the hope he can shake off his injury curse.

Moga was spotted at the SFS pool a couple of weeks ago absolutely ripped, so don't know where that rumour is coming from, someone was spreading the same rumour last offseason when it was BJ that turned up overweight and was sacked.

Sheesh, surely we're not so evil as to spread propaganda on players' fitness in order to justify their sacking!

I doubt that is the case. I do though find the whole thing very interesting and will be interested to see just how this plays out

I would love to see the bloke get another crack in FG in the centres for the Roosters before I make a proper judgment on him, I definitely think he will play regular FG but Im not to sure where at.
When BJ Leulia was coming through the system at the Roosters & made his move to FG I rated him & always thought he looked fit when ever I saw the Roosters play live (TV doesn't give the same impression) I also thought Sa had the goods. They are all of Islander decent & they can all play but it is how they apply themselves & commit to the hard yards is what makes them or breaks them.
