the one you mentioned is in the very early stages of his career.

anasta is a seasoned experienced pro, he is at the age when he is meant to be at his peak. he is paid marquee money. he should be dominating teams but he doesnt have the ability to do that. other teams marquee players are standouts, dominating games. with anasta at five eight we have been a failure for 4 years now. it may have a lot to do with the crap coaches he has had. but i am sick of waiting in case he might actually produce. hes just an average first grader. it seems to me that he is the type of player that needs the sun and the moon and the stars perfectly aligned for him to do well. that just doesnt cut it with me when you are paid what he is paid.

i'd like to see him become a pro golfer.

Fred, out of our two 'marquee players' (Braith and the Wanka), Braith is by far the better performing of the two - both in consistency and commitment.

All of Stuart, Opes and Farkwit Fittler did Braith no favours by stuffing him around position wise - he'd spend the off season at lock only to have to switch back to 5/8 early on in the season because the halves pairings weren't gelling. And who will ever forget Farkwit Fittler's fullback experiment.

Brian Smith has to decide where he wants Braith to play and, barring something like a Carney brain implosion/indiscretion, leave him in that position long term.

He is our captain and one of our most mature and experienced players. He deserves our support for 2010. He has done nothing to warrant anything less.

Braith Anasta is a good player. He shouldn't be written off for our season last year as he was one of the very few trying his heart out each game. But that's what's expected of him, and he is doing a better job than Willie Mason in almost all departments of the game.

unfortunately for braith i think his time is coming to and end at easts which sux due to the factors we had at his time here he will play lock next year but my guess is unless carney implodes he will be another to go the following year as mitchell aubusson is a lock in waiting he can draw and pass and tackles well
i hope we have some success next year so he is retained for the duration of his contract
