  • SBW signs with NZ Rugby, Chiefs

Yep. Our almighty Sonny-Bill has signed to return to the Chiefs and NZ rugby.

Good news is that its for 2015/2016 so we've still got him for 2014

Well it's good it's done so early so we don't have this constant, ongoing speculation during the season about what he's doing. Also helps plan for the salary cap going forward.

No surprises, wasn't this always his plan?

Imo great news. As mentioned above, this now cancels out any silly speculation and confusion with what his going to do. Also lets us plan a few transfer targets for when he leaves...

It's good as far as the club is concerned as far as planning and retention of other players but in my opinion this doesn't guarantee him an all black jumper and a spot on the olympic team, sometimes you should be happy with what you have.

Consider it a bonus he is playing for another year... good things always comes to an end.

Excellent. A nice early notice given by Soony. Now the team will be playing out of their skin for him and each other! Just like last year.

Is this something you've heard, or something you're pulling out of your Russell Crowe?

Wouldn't he be in his early 30's in 2017? 32-33?

I honestly believe Sonny will win with the Roosters again in 2014, win the RWC in 2015 and win a gold medal in 2016.

                          Insha allah

Those in the know have said since day one that it was 2 years and no more.
