Top prize is $370,000, runner up 240k, semi 160k, qtrs 130k and round robin stage is 110k. Pretty sad that winning the minor prem is a worse cash prize than losing 3 games at the 9's.
That was exactly what sprung to my mind as soon as you posted those figures of how much you can win at the 9's. What an absolute disgraceful joke that you can earn 10k more with the round robin stage than winning the minor premiership!! Winning the minor premiership should be imo 500k due to the significance of the huge achievement!

The 100k prize money for the minor premiership has been that amount for like the past 20 years, the NRL really do need to get with the times!
The year 2013 marks the beginning of the Roosters next 'decade of excellence', and it will prove to be more successful than the last!

    Here's looking at you, kid.

      That's ludicrous.

Minor Premiership is very under valued in the NRL.

Yeah it makes no sense! The players bust their guts for 80 minutes over 26 rounds in the toughest comp in the world and get a lousy 100k for finishing in first place. Then you get 110k for the round robin stage of the 9's tournament. That is as you say 'ludicrous'!!

important to remember also that each club gets $120k just for showing up at the nines so the winner will actually walk away with $490k and losers in the pool stage will still get $230k.

if the clubs were going to agree to the promoters demands regarding player availability then enough money had to be stumped up to make it a worthwhile prize for some of the financially struggling clubs.

In the scheme of things I agree with you RP, the MP means zip, what matters is who wins the GF.

But 100k for being the best side for 26 rounds of the hardest RL comp on the planet compared to the massive money on offer for just turning up to NZ to compete in a Mickey Mouse pre-Cumm-season round robin batman kaaaapow kawatteeman shite???

MPs deserve at least a voucher to Lowes, surely???

Hahaha that gave me a good chuckle!

I loved that old 60's batman, Adam West is a legend! He had an outstanding physique in that classic batman costume! The catwoman back then was meow hot!!

Surely for the MP's you would have to throw in a small big mac meal voucher to go along with the Lowes one!

As Chook said, you will be watching the 9's as will I. Good luck to the clubs for getting that sort of money for it, just wish that the NRL would stop showing disrespect for the MP's with how little they are rewarded with!

                      Too right.

The look on Souffs fans when we towelled them in round 26 was priceless.

Having done it with 5 or 6 of our starting 17 out, was even better..

just to show how disloyal the 9 s comp is to the nrl/arl, as in their ads they don't even us easts in the promotiom for the 9s games. I guess our minor prem win, our gf win, our records along the way in season 2013 , means jack $hit

No doubt I will be watching maaaaaaaaaaaaaaate.

But I'm guessing it will be much like the old 7s were.

                            The 20-20 of RL.

I recall attending the 7s one year and very late in the day, after the crowd were burnt and tanked, a Mexican wave went up and a farking chicken carcass landed on the seat next to me. I shit you not, a farking chicken carcass.

It's gonna be DeJaPoo I can just smell it.

I'm sure JT can top that, from his one day cricket days, for those that remember!
Anyone else remember when you could drink full strength, in the outer, at the cricket
Playing cricket in the Dally Messenger with a street sweepers broom, kids pegging tennis balls at you from below, and no one got chucked out, those were the days!
