Glad to hear Noyce come out and say Willy is staying, and I do not believe for one second that we will lose anyone because of this......

If he wants to stay and put in for the team, I am more than happy to support the decision......

Some wanted him punted, some wanted him retained

But regardless, if he is staying, the fact that Smith has stepped up and shown some leadership in offering him a clean slate is an excellent move

My hopes for the Roosters under Smith are growing all the time

Stay in the background Nick, and let him have full reign to make his own desisions

Even I will support him if he can do that and stay out of trouble off the field

He has not done that so far

Phantom, most of his detractors, including myself, would shut up if he actually performed on field, but to date he hasn't done so.

All he's done is give his detractors plenty of ammunition as to why he doesn't deserve the high contract he's being paid by plodding along in cruise mode, which he's in fact been in since about 2005.

Exactly. He isnt facing pending assault charges. He hasnt been tested positive to cocaine, he hasnt been involved in pub fights, he hasnt punched, stabbed or glassed anyone, he hasnt shat in a hallway.

He pissed on a wall. Yep Sack him.

                  I say, Capt. Mason.

Must admit, I'd prefer him gone

Having said that, as I've said elsewhere, if he's going to be staying, Smith's made a really good move by offering him this "clean slate". Good show of leadership. I have a feeling that if anyone can get the best out of him, it's Smith. I think he'll do great things at the Roosters, provided Politis lets him

As everyone kept saying in defence of Ashley Harrison when he was getting over his serious knee injury, it takes them 12 months or more

I did see signs from Mason. albeit only small ones, at the very back end of last season that suggested he was moving in the right direction in terms of his contribution and his confidence.

                    Let's hope

With all due respect, you and I have obviously been watching different games in the later part of the year......
There were games there they Willy was one of the only ones putting in.......

I respect your opinion, but have seen posts not unlike Rustys re Mitchell from you, and it seem that you have a hatred that is bordering on obsessive at times..........
