    That's exactly right!
I'll repeat it again.....Mason isn't part of Brian's future plans. This rabid species is not loved nor wanted.

We all know the telegraph is full of crap.

But the real issue regarding our playing roster should'nt be up for debate at all.
The buck has to stop with Brian Smith........that should be why we signed him.The board should give him exactly what he wants or it won't work out.
It's the old Jack Gibson method.

I'd be happy enough if we honoured Mason's contract and treated him like any other player, ie/ form warrents selection. But if Smith can't work with him, he's gotta go.

Tongue in cheek, hence the after it.

I actually want Smith to mentor him.

On what do you base that notion Lm333?

I see some of you have posted comments to dean ritchie's blog today and melon's in particular was a beauty. All ritchie could come up with was words to the effect of "you're a bitter man." In other words, he had nothing.

                  Noyce on 2SM: Mason Staying!

Steve Noyce was on 2SM's Talkin' Sport this 'arvo and he was pressed about Mason.

He said Mason has another year to run on his contract and he will be expected to honour it.

He said he doesn't know who starts these rumours or who the so-called club insiders are but they are false.

He has spoken to Mason about the issue to reassure him.

He has not addressed these issues publically as he doesn't want to have to have a press conference for every rumour that involves the club.

Read into what you will people.

I reckon they've tried to offload him but haven't been successful so they're stuck with him and now have to make the best of it, publicly at least.

Always going to be a possibility, giving his inflated contract.

I reckon you are 100% correct..

He is damaged goods now..in the eye's of other clubs anyway..

I really hope Mason proves everyone wrong,& turns back the clock to '04 & earlier..i just don't see it happening though..

I tried to, but the hopeless idiot wouldn't put it up.

Clearly it wasn't what he wanted to hear.

Ritchie refuses to address the "Mason's imminent Sacking v Mason being let go" issue..

"Dean, you state at 12:36 - “I think if you read the story carefully, it said the Roosters board had given permission for Mason to go.”

But the story at the top of the page says:
“The argy bargy over Willie Mason’s imminent sacking..”

So has he been given permission to go or is he being sacked? I am confused as you say 2 differnet things.

It’s not hard mate. If another club comes along he will go. If they don’t he will stay. Simple. "

He doesn't address the issue...all vague sidestepping of the actual question..

The Tell-U-Crap has less credibility now than any other year in it's history...& that is saying something

I really think Mason will come out and prove everybody wrong. He is getting married and this whole situation with a new coach coming to the club will get the best out of him. Mason to shine in 2010.

we all talk about how mason is a cancer and how he will undermine Smith's direction.

But have we looked at it on the flip side???

Will Mason thrive under smith?? Will he realise that this is his last chance? All will be revieled in the 2010 season.
