Nah, I've been disappointed too many times recently to rejoice until I know he has signed a contract elsewhere, anywhere. The bloke is far too unpredictable.

Well its up to you who you believe. Im just telling you what he told me.
He just happened to be on the plane
Not judging dude, but you must be one exceptional human being, because Big Willy doesnt normally open himself up so freely to strangers, no matter how long they sit next to him........

Yeah, of course its hard to believe. I probably would be too.
He also told me about Wayne Bennet. He actually signed a contract with us in 2006 but since the roosters "officials" cant keep their mouths shut about anything, he quickly got out of it then stayed at the Broncs.
He was very nice and open about everything. So I helped with get around Narita Airport when we got there.

But surely as a rooster fan you told him that you already knew this......we all did........

Mason must have told him to urgently break the news to us all on Mario`s famous site before the media photograpths him pissing saki on the Imperial Palace wall...

My god, it's still ****en going, Now mason is in Japan looking for a new contract but they just said last week he will be here to stay for 2010.
Very confusing and dont understand why its so hard to give a straight answer.

It is quite simple...
Mason will be with us next year unless he can find a new deal elsewhere.
Up to this point in time,he cannot find another deal.
He is currently in Japan shopping himself for a Rugby deal for the current season which is already into round 8 of sixteen rounds,or for next season that kicks off early September.
It is Mason`s call,as he still has one year to go on his contract with us,and our club cannot do a thing about it if Willie descides to play it out and stay...
Willie Mason is in Japan sounding out rugby opportunities
By Dean Ritchie
November 02, 2009 Willie Mason has flown to Japan to negotiate with cashed-up rugby union clubs and will miss Sydney Roosters' official return to training on Monday.
It can be revealed Mason was granted a week's leave by Roosters management to travel overseas with his manager Greg Keenan.
Mason flew into Tokyo over the weekend but will return for the Roosters training session on November 9.
Should Mason obtain a deal in Japan, it is understood he would be released from the final year of his Roosters contract.
It is understood Mason asked the Roosters for seven days of "personal leave".
The Roosters' approval of Mason's request was seen as another indication the club was looking to offload the former NSW and Test star.
Keenan was not answering his calls last night while Roosters chief executive Steve Noyce was not commenting on Mason.
Mason's former Australian teammate, Craig Wing, signed with a Japanese rugby union club this year for a reported $700,000 a season and the Roosters forward would command similar money.
NRL clubs are slowly returning for pre-season training, with the Roosters, Souths and New Zealand Warriors getting back to work today.
Newcastle, Penrith, Wests Tigers and Canberra also return this week.
"We don't need any motivation after the season we just had - it was a disaster," Roosters skipper Braith Anasta said.
