No surprise that you didn't dig this thread up last week when Taumalolo put in one of the best 80 min performances of the week.

He won them the game last week. Lost them the game this week. If you wanna simplify it that much.

Sounds like a typical 20 odd year old NRL player.

Ftr we don't need him as we have Willis Meehan who will probably be better.

That doesn't make him your typical 20 year old player, it makes him one dimensional. Don't confuse the two. If he was as good a defender as he is attacker and as poor an attacker as he is defender he wouldn't get 99% of the hype he gets now.

And of course I didn't bump this thread last week because it didn't highlight my argument that he's a liability. I've always maintained he's a gun attacking player so last week didn't prove nor disprove my point... so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

Arthur Beetson was our recruitment officer if that's what you mean. If not then Brian Smith.

Thurston won that game last week, plain and simple.

You call him a gun attacking player here yet earlier you labelled him destructive yet not a good ball player or hole runner. You can't be a gun attacking player if your a poor line runner and have little ball skills.
I think he runs great lines for a big man, he ran some superb lines last week and again last night.
I don't think Henry left him out because he was a poor defender, I think he was struggling with consistency and effort. He is still very young and probably wasn't coping with the workload of an NRL player. Another down fall of the u/20's comp, young blokes struggling mentally to deal with what's required to make the step up to FG.

Has anyone seen much of SIO SIO in our lower grades… seems like a prospect in the mould of a SBW?

Not the way he danced deftly down the sideline to score that try last night.

So you'd pick him in place of?

He wasn't up to scratch so he was released. He couldn't break into the Parra team last year, which just about says it all. He'll be promptly dropped to reserves as soon as Taufua is fit.

The Tamou thing has been done to death - he was a farkwit, and so was released. End of story.
