  • 2014 Trial Games

As the countdown to our Premiership defence begins to grow smaller and smaller, the Club can today confirm the Pre-Season fixtures for the month of February.

Aside from the inaugural Auckland Nines tournament (Feb 15-16) and World Club Challenge (Feb 22), the Roosters will be involved in three separate fixtures including NYC and NRL Squads.

The annual Foundation Cup clash will not take place in 2014, with the NRL Squad’s first ‘trial’ fixture to be played in Wyong on the NSW Central Coast against our 2013 Preliminary Final opponents the Newcastle Knights.

The Wyong fixture will take place on the same weekend as the inaugural Nines Tournament in Auckland, with Squads for both these fixtures still to be confirmed.
The Wyong match will be preceded by a Members Only opportunity to see the Team. For full details stay tuned to Roosters.com.au

thats odd.. You'd expect the wcc would be our last pre season fixture before round 1?? The game will be played with big intensity, a big crowd is expected, and a full squad is expected too.. The riff game will include many reserve grade players and maybe the odd few fringe first grade players who are lacking match fitness.

wont the riff game be the 20s and the jets only. surely they wont expect the fg players to front up.
