The game itself, was a real old fashioned 1970's style first trial game, I was disappointed the Roosters never had any team lists available, while they managed to have their new membership tent there, would of been no trouble to have team lists there as well, to help out identifying the players. Lots of dropped balls all day, from hard hit ups and a slippery ground from the drizzly conditions. The Roosters never really extended themselves, they played well within themselves, just happy to have a run around, and put some starch in the legs, for next weekend. Players ambled on and off all day, was was hard to give a good assessment of the team other then to say, they seem very solid, and they look like they have just taken off from where they left off last season.

The 20's game was a no brainer, played in 4 x 20 minute sessions , Newcastle, had the luxury of bringing enough players down to almost have 4 new sides in front of us, at the start of each quarter. We were by far the better team till late in game when we simply run out of legs against consistently fresh players, fullback in the first quarter looked to me to be the young pommie we brought, very good player, showed some nice touches, but never seen him after the first quarter, so must of picked up some sort of injury. Still to early to give a thorough assessment of them, but looked ok.

Sorry its not too informative, but it was that sort of night, very amatuer hour , with spectators scratching their heads, wondering who was who.

      Cheers........Burnt Rooster.

Obviously that's too hard. How difficult is it to type up a player list and print it off for the Roosters fans to be able to follow the games with?

And give every player the correct jersey with the same number on it as is next their name on the program?

You should definately contact the club and complain about that one Bongdi.

While you're at it ask them why they didnt force Ch 9er and Poxtel to cover the useless trial next time.

While you're at it also ask them why they even play trials that they don't make a programme up for to dont cover on TV where players can get injured.

Suggest they should have a game of tag, no running just walking really really fast, at the pothole less SFS. And of course the players should be numbered correctly, a programme made up and it should be televised live in prime time.

Go hard son, but don't pull a muscle typing too fast. We wouldn't want you injured now would we.

              The FlogPen .

              You know it makes sense.

little details like that distinguish the professional clubs from the rest, so obviously were not quite there yet? perhaps they didmt want some of the unknows identified at this stage, they mightnt be released from other clubs just yet?
