I think we can sign him too, Evans and Napa are a few yrs away from the big coin. Mini will retire and Pearce or a few others can pick up the long serving player allowance and SKD could be released too.

Tel-u-crap story designed to yet again associate our "glamour club" with every big name player off contract (the poachers)

Fifita is signed, sealed & delivered to the Vermin (deal was done several weeks ago).

The real frenzy is going to be over JWH. His next contract is going to be substantially more than his current one which is understandable. If we want to keep him we had better seal a deal now because his former club want him back desperately!

I'll take your word on the Fifita story. Isn't JWH contracted to us until end 2015?

No to Fifita. We have Napa and Evans coming through.

Gman - I don't think the Souths-Fafita deal is finished quite yet.

Nappa is not off contract till the end of 2015 (according to zero tackle), so it could be a choice of signing Evans or Moa for next year.
With SBW going id like us to sign a good ball playing back rower, I don't think FPN is the player to come in, better of the bench.

I back our club whoever is managing the salary cap. The idea of saving cap space and tanking in 2012 have rewarded our club with a balanced squad for 2013'14 and a chance for back to back with our star filled squad.

The salary cap is increasing every year until 2017 when a new collective bargaining agreement will be agreed/adjusted accordingly to how much the game profits in future media deals.

So call me crazy I'm hoping we can keep them all and sign Andrew Fafita. I wouldn't begrudge Sam Moa chasing the coin though as his deal with us I imagine is humble.

SBW must be getting 1M/900k? That's a lot of cap room in '15.

We have the classiest teenage centre in Rugby League.

For Robbo to pick Milne in the 20 man squad shows how highly he rates the kid.

He'll be our starting right centre by 2016 at the latest.

Call me crazy, but to not sign Fifita and hope that Evans will be a future star sounds crazy. To be honest, I rate Napa higher than Evans. He just does dumb things on the footy field

That's a big statement about Milne. I mean with SKD contracted until the end of next year, Jennings on the other side, and Moga waiting to come back from injury (thinking he will probably end up on the wing), it's hard to see a spot for him really.

If Moga wasn't injured, I think he would be there rather than Milne..... He would probably start actually

I'm almost certain the club sees Milne as the future ... even if that's at the expense of SKD who's off contract after this season and is on pretty decent coin.

The x-factor is Moga. Because of his injuries the club would like to re-sign SKD, but it'll be as a winger from 2015 onwards as RTS will be fullback and Moga/Milne at centre.

Ideally the club imo would like RTS, Tupou, Jennings, Milne, Moga ... but again because of Mogas injury history SKD all of a sudden becomes a more important re-signing.

In regards to the Fifita situation, it will be interesting to see which way the go IF Fifita is actually an option. Do they bank on a proven representative player who is almost certain to deliver? Or do they put their faith in a youngster like Evans who has potential to be a star but isn't yet proven? He hasn't even played first grade yet, so it's a tough decision for the club. I would back whichever choice they go with (IF there is a choice to make anyway)

Geez a few premature judgements on Evans how flakey are some of you punters!!! fckn pie comin your way

Moga when ready is the star centre in waiting

Smith has commented earlier this week the cap for next year is under review & changes will be made

the club has been astute in its purchases & without disturbing Robbo's young gun strategies can afford to make large offers to super stars

The likes of Moa will move on & our young bloods will take the mantle alongside top shelf talent

Absolutly he must really rate this kid.For a coach of robbos quality to pick a kid that hasn't played 1st grade in a squad that is playing for the rugby league club championship of the world is something else.Has he even played NSW cup yet?I am looking forward to watching him this year in the 20s.I think i read somewhere that the aust rugby union really want this kid he must be something special.
