Disgraceful first half, Maloney is having an absolute shocker, once again Pot Plant penalities, giving Souths a mountain of possession, not one clear backline break against a pop gun backline, Inglis aside. We can think ourselves blessed we are not 20 points down.

Playing without fluency and with plenty of dropped ball like we did in Round 1 last year.

Being thumped in the penalty count 6-2 like last year.

But we aren't behind.

I reckon the big Vermin forwards might struggle with the pace of this game towards the end.

Souths have dominated this game so far, and to be at 6-6 is a chance we need to capitalise on.

Like I said, it's going to take us a while to hit our straps and don't be surprised to see us lose 2 or 3 of our opening 5 rounds. Souths forwards look way fitter and the rule changes suit fitness over football until the coaches figure out the next ruck exploit.

Cant hold the ball and our defense -despite being only 6 down it got broken so easily.. As mentioned above we should be down by 20 at least.

cant be closer although we should be up further by a penalty try with a bunny in the bin as well! we dont look sharp enough yet but have had no real preseason compared to other teams
